31: It took 2 hours to figure out how to pack the car with a Tent a Kayak, 4 Bikes, 4 Camp Chairs, one Large Cooler, 2 Small Coolers, a Large Camp Supply Box, 4 Bags of Food, four bags of Clothes, Yard Games, and Four People.Then the 8 hr road trip to Florida Caverns State Park
32: 1st night at Florida Caverns State Park... Arrived late, Set up camp in the dark, Ate quick meal, Then went to bed very tired.
33: Over night the temp dropped to the 40's, We woke up cold, Chad made breakfast for everyone, Then came the news from the forest ranger that we must evacuate due to flooding.
34: The Forest Ranger told us the water was already 4 inches over the roads. By the time we packed up the car and left the water was 6 inches over the road. THE ADVENTURE BEGINS!
35: OCALA FLORIDA, MARCH 2014 | After evacuating Florida Caverns State Park, We found a Campsite at Juniper Springs State Park in Ocala Florida a five hour drive.
36: We arrived at Juniper Springs and had no idea what to expect. We set up camp again before dark then started a Camp fire for the evening.
37: Awesome night for a camp Fire! | Over Night Temperature down to the low 50's | Graham Crackers! Marshmallow's! Hershey's Chocolate! Can anyone say... | S'MORES | Lucas makes S'mores with a giant Marshmallow
38: The burnt Biscuits in the picture below were Chad's first attempt at cooking breakfast in a dutch oven over hot coals.
39: Bananas became a quick substitute for the burnt biscuits while waiting for oatmeal to be prepared. Yippieeeeeeee!!
40: It didn't take much to get Lucas involved in cleaning and organizing camp before setting off to explore the park

42: Ready to explore Juniper Springs. We grab our bikes and set off with Lucas leading the way.
43: We discovered many trails. One trail led to a fantastic spring fed Lake and River.

60: Lucas said "this is fun Gran-Daddy!" While he repeatedly jumped off a platform 6 ft high into 72 degree water all while shivering with goose bumps from head to toe.

91: Lucas decided he wanted to read before going to bed - He found a flash light to shine on the book so he could read it. He did this all on his own... Gran-Daddy took this picture hiding around the corner.
