Rhodes This color-drenched place is wonderful place to visit!
The wind started to blow and a storm was COMING - the winds reached 70 knots with HUGE waves. We were up ALL night.
 Heading for Egypt
UP ALL NIGHT The storm was massive in the middle of the night just outside of Egypt. The ship nearly went OVER twice from huge waves. Our TV fell off the wall and the bed slid across the room - really didn't think we were going to MAKE it. | Chi be vive, ben muoro - A good life makes an easy death
Windows were broke,n people were hurt, kitchen was flooded, spa sinks tipped and shattered, people were sea sick. | All the Christmas decorations in the main lobby FELL OVER (see right) and broken ornaments and decorations were everywhere.
Mom spent the next few days in the room | Lots of ANGRY passengers
65 to 70 mph winds gave us the SCARE of our lives | The cruise line offered us a $400 credit for the nightmare we experienced - passengers protested and eventually they refunded all of our money.

These are the two letters we received from the Cruise Line AFTER the STORM
Egypt was NOT meant to be and Mark was really disappointed. The Ship passed Egypt and went to Valletta, Malta
We ended up spending two days in Malta while repairs were done to the ship. Beautiful place to visit but we were READY TO GO HOME
Grand Harbour Marina was filled with fabulous boats
Eye of Osiris | Luzza a Maltese fishing boat
The colorful traditional Malta boats are perhaps one of the cutest attractions on the islands for the Malta tourist. These eye-catching fishing boats are brightly colored – usually in red, yellow and blue. Over the years, they have become so popular with visitors that they have since become a bit of a national symbol. If you want to catch a glimpse of countless traditional Maltese boats, drop by at Marsaxlokk. The harbour is always full of these type of boats, raging from the luzzu (double-ended fishing boat), dghajsa (smaller boat) and kajjik (similar to the luzzu but has a square transom).
