FC: Voyages Untold
 Ponce De Leon's
February 28, 1493 I am setting out on this voyage to explore new areas of land to be known, for if any are discovered, and turn them under the hands of Spain. I am seeking fame and wealth to expect my people to remember me for something and to be able to support my family. The king of Spain has ordered me to set out and find new lands to conquer and colonize. I will take a mere 50 sailors with me to have enough support and backup for me to use in such dangerous or unreliable situations. Any more taken might result in a food shortage that may cost us the voyage and force us to return or suffer the consequences of not thinking things through.
My crew has supplied us with food and plenty of water to last us for 4 months at most. We will need sturdy sails and weapons in case we must encounter any dangers by mere fate. My ship is not the best vessel available-for it is experiencing multiple leaks and creaks with mold, but it is enough to take me to where I need to go and come back. If luck crosses my path, I might be able to find gold deep throughout any islands or lands of new knowledge. I am suitable for whatever is out there so I have to clear my mind of any homesick distractions and accept that I chose this journey. Our trip rests in God's hands and I hope to find new lands with dreams of gold, power, and fame. Ponce de Leon
April 2, 1493 It has been quite over two months since we've last been on land. My crew is not at all in such great condition. They've seemed to lack motivation for coming along but a bottle of rum tonight will surely give them hope. I’'m beginning to feel like we're not going to make it on time before our ships food supply runs out. We only have about a months’ worth of food at most due to the unacceptable misjudgment of my crew. We all expect to get there in time and with enough crew men to begin the exploring of new lands that we might encounter. I don't know what waits us but I’'m going to need as many men to hang on until arrival.
Of the fifty men that I brought with me only a mere twenty nine have had their wits and confidence tied to their backs to hold on this long in our voyage. Recently I've lost 16 members of my crew and five are severely sick and have not long before their time too is time to leave. They seem to suffer from disease. It's not easy out here on sea, but we're making the best of it. This voyage has not been what I've expected and I'm beginning to have second thoughts of turning back right now than to keep suffering this nightmare at sea. Up until now, there haven't been any other signs of ships nearby. We hope to make it there on time and with enough strength to begin our exploration. Ponce DeLeon
May 29, 1493 I've arrived to where I need to be. I've reached to where the King has ordered me to be! I'm surrounded by a vast variety of creatures and vegetation that I've never seen before. My crew has been feeling quite weary from the last time that we've been on land, but there full of joy to finally be where we need to be. We expect to find what we're looking for, and hopefully as soon as possible. I've nothing but 24 crew members left. Necessary, we will find more if they do not wish to try to hand themselves over in the name of the King. We will enslave them and if at all possible, we hope that there will be few that can help us out with what we are looking for.
We've encountered certain creatures that have tried to attack us, but they are no match for our impeccable weapons up until now. We fear we are not alone. We've also seen shadows in the woods, watching our every move and we are aware of this so we are keeping a lookout. We have not yet made contact, but we do wish to speak with them in peace if at all possible. We are willing to do anything possible to try to not have conflict with the natives. They seem to just be friendly enough to try to make contact. Up until, we haven't yet found anything that has surprised us to search for. For now, all we have in our camp is nothing but the clothes on our backs. Our weapons, 7 lanterns, and a large portion of skin were given to each of the crew members. We'll just have to start our expedition and do with what we have. Ponce De Leon
