FC: 3B Field Trip to The Oakes Museum at Messiah College | 10/2/12
One thing we learned about was skulls. We had to examine different skulls, record their characteristics, and use those clues to figure out what animal it was.
We visited the African animals. (That's Mrs. Karns, former SJS Assistant Principal, teaching us.)
This area is a replica of an African watering hole. | An ostrich and a warthog | How's the weather up there? | Number 1 of "The Big Five"
In front of the zebra | Mrs. Britt made a new friend. | ROAR!!! | Those dik-diks were so CUTE!
Lunch time! | Because it was raining, we ate in the Student Center. It's kind of like a food court.
After lunch, we saw the North American animals. | There were many different kinds of bears.
We also learned about all different kinds of owls, and listened to their sounds.
We miss you, Mitchell! (Hey! How did THAT kid get into the picture??)
We had a really great day!!
