FC: Discovering the World... 13 Years in the Making
This Mixbook was presented on October 31, 2011 for Mrs. Wilkinson's Yearbook Class.
Over the many years, I was fortunate enough to go on many vacations, learning cultures, and witnessing different lifestyles. At the beginning of this year when I was asked to chose a theme for my Mixbook, I knew that we had a great quantity of vacation pictures aside from any other pictures. This book that I am about to present to you is a compilation of pictures from various trips including Florida, a Caribbean Cruise, India, large cities and more. Over the last six weeks, I have used pictures, stickers and editing to complete this project. By completing this project, I have learned many skills from scanning to taking good pictures. It has been a wonderful oppurtunity to do this project since I have never done anything like this before. I hope you enjoy. | About this Mixbook
Staying Cool in Amelia Island, Florida
In the winter of 2003, my cousins and I traveled to Amelia Island in Florida. There we stayed at the Ritz Carlton with amazing seaside views. This had been the first time that I had visited Florida and it was a calm, and peaceful place. On this vacation, we enjoyed white sand beaches and great room service!
In the outskirts of Amelia Island, lives the thick, swampy, marshland. That same winter, after visiting the beautiful beaches in the heart of the island, we decided to take a detour and visit the lush outdoors of Florida by going kayaking. As the day journeyed on, things took a turn for the worst. High currents and violent waters made my sister and I sink. The sharp zebra muscles at my feet didn't help the situation either. But, we all stuck until the end and overall it was very fun vacation and experience. | The Kayaking "Adventure"
 Cruise at the Caribbean
On my cruise in December of 2009, my family and I traveled to Key West and the Cayman Islands. We sailed on a Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship named the Granduer of the Seas. Snorkeling and great beaches were some of the fun things we enjoyed. | Life on the Sea
I have visited India four times and each time was an amazing experience. Though we go for the main purpose of visiting family, we have also gone on vacations such as the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort which are located in the capital, New Delhi. These great vacations have taught me more of the history and culture of India. The pictures shown are me with my grandparents visiting India's famous monuments.
 My time in India
The Big City | I am happy to say that I have been to many of America's largest cities from New York to Los Angeles.Since I am not normally used to the bustling cars, subways and skyscrapers, whenever I visit any of these places, I make the best of it. Visiting these places is like going to a whole different world and though I can't see much nature, I still like how the atmosphere differs so much from Coldwater. These next pictures show e in various cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Washington D.C..
In summer of 2009, my family visited New York City and saw Times Square, Wall Street, and went on a Stanton Island Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. | In the summer of 2008, My family took a trip to Washington D.C. Though I had been there two other times before, I always love visiting monuments like the White House and Capitol Hill.
Door County, Wisconsin | 2 years ago, our family traveled to Door County Wisconsin. It was a very weird place with ostriches, goats, lakes, and cottages. We decided that going to a place like this would give us more of a natural vacation.
 Visiting London
Back in 2004, my family traveled to Great Britain to visit family and friends for a few days. There, we saw downtown London, and many double decker buses. It was a lot of getting used to because the steering wheels were placed on the right side of the cars!
