7: The highest point in Sicily is Mount Etna, an active volcano which dominates the eastern coast at a height of 10,902 ft.

8: Athens (Piraeus), Greece - The Acropolis and the Parthenon

9: Athens was named the Capitol of Greece in 1834 (there were 6,000 residents). The ancient Olympic Games started in Athens in 1850; after 1896 the Olympics were held in other countries. Today there are over 5 million residents in Athens.

12: Kusadasi, Turkey - Tuba (our tour guide) took us to the House of the Virgin Mary and the City of Ancient Ephesus.

13: Tradition states that Mary, accompanied by John the Apostle, came to Ephesus at the end of her life. In 1967, Pope Paul VI claimed the site authentic, and each year a traditional service honors Mary's Assumption into heaven.

14: The City of Ancient Ephesus - Overlooking Ephesus are the remains of St. John's Basilica, a once great church built on a 2nd century tomb thought to hold the remains of St. John the Evangelist who lived and died here. 75% of the City is still underground. There are two million visitors every year.

25: The Windmill District is a famous Mykonos landmark located in an area known as "Little Venice". This is a trendy district filled with art galleries, high arcaded Venetian houses built right up to the water's edge, and chic bars and discos.

28: Day at Sea - Lovely AM Brunch, Happy Hour at the Martini Bar, and Dress Up Night in the Dining Room

30: Naples, Italy - Our small group tour took us past Mt. Vesuvius, and we then traveled up the beautiful Amalfi Coast to Positano.

32: Sorrento, Italy

33: Lunch at the Grand Hotel Parco dei Principi on Naples Bay in Sorrento

34: The ancient City of Pompeii, one of the most famous excavations in the world. Once a thriving empire over 1900 years ago; it was devastated by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD when 30 feet of volcanic ash and pumice stone covered the City.
