FC: My trip to London
London is a beautiful place to go on vacation,or take a trip. London is packed full of museums, and lots of great restaurants, and fun things to do.
The romans were the first people that we now of to have lived in London. The romans began ruling London under there emperor Claudius in 43 ad. The romans soon gained control of much of south east Asia.
One of my places of interest was the London eye. The London eye is one of London's most popular attractions. Because of the view you can see over 55 of London's most famous landmarks. In under thirty minutes.
The Brownes hotel is the oldest hotel in London. They have had guests in there rooms like the Queen herself, the Beatles, and even One Direction. Also many people believe that Rudyard Kipling wrote the jungle book while staying here.
In London there are many recreational activities You can do. Like go to one of there many aquariums. Or go play cricket on one of there public field's. Or even go try the I pilot flight simulator experience right outside the London eye.
The Tate modern sits on the banks of Thames. It has both modern exhibits and prehistoric cave paintings. They have artists like Damien Hirst and Gauguin. the gallery's restaurants offer views of many London attractions.
This is a map of London England, and even has some attractions on it like the London zoo
The climate in London is a lot like the U.S. Except the winters don't get as cold. I recommend traveling in the summer because the weathers nice around then. Pack with shorts, short sleeved shirts and a jacket just in case.
The most used language is English. The currency used is pounds, and appropriate dress is the same as the U.S. The food there is a lot like the U.S.
More billionaire's live in London than any other city in the world.
My plane just landed in London, and I am in a cab with my family going to our hotel. I am so excited to start seeing attractions and museums but first we have to check into our hotel and eat. We just left the hotel and are going to the London Eye. The view from up here is amazing I can see our hotel, and the airport from here. Next my mom says we will go to the Tate modern museum of art. Well thats my journal for today.
We are going to the Tate museum of modern art and I am so excited. Wow this museum is amazing I even saw a prehistoric cave painting. My favorite thing in the museum was a splatter painting. thats my journal.
Me and my family are all eating at the Brownes hotel restaurant. I ordered the soup and sandwich. After that very filling meal my family and I take a tour of the hotel to the room where the queen stayed once, and other rooms like where the Beatles stayed, and even where the very first phone call was made. The tour guide tells us that this is the oldest hotel in London, and that a lot of people even believe that Rudyard Kipling even wrote the Jungle Book here. Thats my journal for today.
This is our last day in London, and my mom is going to take the whole family out to lunch. Then to some shoppes, and then the airport first lunch. We go to a little bistro and eat till we are all stuffed. Know we are all going to a book store and I am excited to get some foreign books. Know were in a cab going to the airport it was fun being in London but I am excited to go home and be in my own bed again.
London and Kansas are very different places. In London there are many many attractions, and places to go, and learn about things and in Kansas there are many places like that to but not nearly as many as London. Also I don't think there are any cricket fields in Kansas. Also I think there are many more hotels in London than in Kansas.
This journey has had a very huge impact on my life. It made me make up my mind that after I graduate from high school, I want to go back out to London, and go to school to be a photographer. Then make a living taking pictures of attractions, museums hotels, and even tourists out in London. Thats how this trip changed my life.
I know it will be hard to become a photographer in London but like Benjamin franklin said ''1% inspiration 99% perspiration.''
