Dear CC, I couldn't be happier that one of my best friends has met her match-made-in-heaven! When we met our freshman year at A&M, I knew that we would be lifelong friends, especially after our encounter with the bicycle cops in the parking lot before yell! We have made many, many memories over the years, but some of my favorites have to be hanging out at Ronald's, parties at Matt's, Thursday nights at the Texas Hall of Fame, and all of our trips to the river! If I could offer any advice on your marriage, I would remind you to never go to bed mad. It's okay to admit when you're wrong, and don't sweat the petty things. This advice of course goes for both of you! And Josh - we all know that Cecilia will never be wrong because she's a woman, DUH! In closing, I wish both of you a lifetime of happiness and many, many rugrats!!!!!!!!!! Love, SaraNan

Dear C.C. ( Yes I am a true friend because I know to spell it without I's) Meeting you was probably one of the best part of my childhood. I can't even image what growing up in the town of Luling would have been like without you. I don't really remember the exact moment we met but I know it was in the 5th grade and even though we shared no classes together our lockers were close and we became instant friends. Also, we became summer pen-pals before our 6th grade school year and thank goodness you didn't move to that 7,500 acre ranch you wrote me about because how else would I have gotten information about my school crush if you weren't there to eavesdrop on Becca's phone calls that summer. Flash Forward 16 years and you are now marring our classmate Josh. I wish y'all a lifetime of happiness and am so excited that you are both happy and blessed. Life is truly sweeter when two old friends find each other and start to build a life together. I love you as the sister of my heart and can't wait to see you as a beautiful bride. You once told me that this song reminded you of our friendship, so here's to you "My Old Friend." Congratulations, Lindsey Jung

"My Old Friend" My old friend, I recall The times we had hanging on my wall I wouldn't trade them for gold Cause they laugh and they cry me Somehow sanctify me They're woven in the stories I have told And tell again My old friend, I apologize For the years that have passed Since the last time you and I Dusted off those memories But the running and the races The people and the places There's always somewhere else I had to be Time gets slim, my old friend Don't know why, don't know why Don't know why, don't know why My old friend, this song's for you Cause a few simple verses Was the least that I could do To tell the world that you were here Cause the love and the laughter Will live on long after All of the sadness and the tears We'll meet again, my old friend

Dear Cecilia, Congratulations on your upcoming marriage! I’m so excited for you and Josh and wish you all the best in your new life together. I have some advice I’d like to share. First and most importantly, always put God at the center of your marriage. Second, go on dates!!! Lastly, don’t hold onto grudges. Forgive each other and move on. I’m so happy that I met you our freshman year of college! What a coincidence that we lived in the same dorm. Some of my favorite memories from that year are us sitting in lawn chairs outside your room and talking or going to eat dinner at Sbisa together. Of course the best freshman year memories include lots of McCormick’s vodka and throwing up. “Somebody find a spigot!” Whatever that means hehe. It’s hard to pinpoint my favorite memory of us because I have so many. Can you believe we’ve been friends for 8 years? When did we grow up?? Remember Chilifest 2005? “Kyle, Kyle! Throw me a beer!” And parties at Ronald’s house that ended when the sun came up. Dancing at the hall to “Pour Some Sugar on Me”. Going to River Road Icehouse and spending Easter morning hungover and NOT going to church like we were supposed to. Listening to “Purple Rain” a million times. Tons of river trips. Our fun “girls weekends” after we all graduatedI think those may be my favorite because I’m so happy that we have all stayed in touch. It’s rare to find such a great group of friends that you stay in touch with after everyone moves apart. I’m so thankful for you and SaraNan and Chelsea! I think my favorite thing about you is your sense of humor. I don’t think we’ve ever spent time together and not laughed hysterically. I also love that we have so many funny stories but PLEASE don’t tell my future children what hoodlums we were and still are. Thank you for being my friend and thank you for standing beside me on my wedding day. I can’t wait to stand by you on your big day. I love you like a sister! Rachel

CC, I am so thankful that you were brought into my brother's life; because of you, I have seen a different side of him, a happier him. Thank you for making my brother happier than he has ever been. There was never any doubt from the first time he brought you around our family that y'all would be together. It is clear that you bring out the best in him and fit into our family so well. You have been a blessing not only to him, but also to the rest of us. I love both of you and I cannot wait to see what the future brings as you two start y'alls lives together! Love, Meredith

Cecilia, What's the measure of our friendship? In the nearly ten years we've known each other, I can't begin to count the memories. Nor can I remember the number of times we had classes together at Texas A&M. The number of tear-filled phone calls our first year (or first few years) of teaching. The number of text messages sent with silly pictures that no one else could possibly understand. The number of McDonald's Frappes we had that summer or the number of miles we've traveled visiting friends across the state. The number of dollars we've spent at New York & Company and the number of wedding details you helped me sort out aren't anywhere close to the number of times you've shown me what being a true friend means. In the end, I can't count the memories; but I can always count on you. As you enter your new life with Josh, I hope that you find happiness, love and commitment beyond measure. Love, Chelsea
