20: Wedding Ceremony | Introduction | We are here today to celebrate the marriage of Julie and Nikki as they pledge their love as one. In the many years that you have been together you have been creating your marriage. This wedding is a joyous proclamation of your desire and intention to continue this comfort, encouragement, and a safe place for all your deepest feelings to be expressed. And even though marriage brings challenges all its own and needs to be constantly worked on - we always know that being together in love is the greatest happiness life can bring. | Affirmation of Intentions | Julie, do you take Nikki and Nikki, do you take Julie to be your wedded spouse to live together, comfort each other, honor each other, and care for each other in all the circumstances life may bring? (We will) | Vows | I Julie, and I Nikki, take you as my wife. I promise to love you unconditionally, to respect and support you, to laugh with you and cry with you, to inspire you, through growth and change, in good times and in bad, all the days of my life. | The Art of Marriage | A good marriage must be created. In marriage the little things are the big things...It is never being too old to hold hands. It is remembering to say, "I Love You", at least once a day. It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives. It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.

21: It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways. It is having the capacity to forgive and forget. It is cultivating flexibility, patience, understanding, and a sense of humor. It is finding room for things of spirit. It is giving each other an atmosphere in which independence is equal, dependence is mutual, and the obligation is reciprocal. It is not only marrying the right partner, it is being the right partner. | Ring Ceremony | These rings will symbolize your marriage to your friends and family, but most important of all - to yourselves. As a symbol of the love we have for each other, with this ring, I thee wed. | Closing | May you both continue to find happiness in this union observing the covenant you have made between you, sharing your lives with each other; with your families and your close friends; may your years be rich in the joys of life and your days good and long upon the earth. And may you find your way back to Cape Cod for many years to come. | Pronouncement | I ask that you accept each other as you are, staying true to yourself, but respecting each other's feelings. Trust, respect, communication and keeping your sense of humor will guide you to joy, peace, fulfillment in your everyday lives. Julie and Nikki have consented together in wedlock and have pledged themselves to each other. By the power vested in me by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, but primarily by the power of your love for each other, I now pronounce you legally married, spouses for life. You may kiss and celebrate!
