FC: Letters from your Posterity

June 9, 2011 | Here is a tribute to you both that we put together in celebration of your 44 wonderful years together! Just our thoughts, feelings, memories and testimonies all in one place for you to enjoy! We Love You! | Happy Anniversary | June 9, 1967

Dear Mom and Dad, How fun it has been to observe the children writing their testimonies to you and sharing their fond memories of the many ways you have shown love to them. They love you and we love you so very much. I am so grateful for my testimony; so thankful that you helped develop my testimony at a young age. What a privilege I count it to have been reared in your home. How grateful I am for your example and your love. I have a deep and abiding love of my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ and the testifier, the Holy Ghost. I have seen their masterful works in my life and owe Them anything that I could ever consecrate to their work and glory. The Holy Spirit has burned within me a love for the Lord and a testimony of the truths of the gospel which sustains me every day. I love the Book of Mormon and know that it is the word of God. I learn more from the Spirit every time I read it with sincere intent. I am so grateful that we have a living prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson. I love his example of ministering to the one. I love Joseph Smith and am deeply grateful for his tremendous work to usher in the dispensation of the fullness of times. I love our Savior, Jesus Christ. I have been touched this Easter week as I have contemplated his lasting grace. His love was so strong that he willfully allowed his life to be sacrificed so that he could take it up again in his glorious resurrection. I marvel that he “would descend from His throne divine” to rescue us from the grasp of sin and death. I am so grateful for our Heavenly Father whose love was so strong that he allowed His Only Begotten Son to suffer, bleed, and die without intervening, knowing that it was the only way to rescue the rest of his children that would hearken unto Him. I hope that I can be an instrument in the Lord’s hands to declare these truths to those who do not yet know them. I am grateful for my wonderful wife who I love and cherish with all my heart. I am thankful for the precious children Heavenly Father has sent to our care. I only hope that we can be the parents to them that you have been to me and my great siblings, who I love very much. I cherish so many thoughts and memories of you. I love the security I always feel when I am with you. I still feel that every time we visit you, even now that I am older and have children of my own. I hope our children feel the way you have made me feel. I love walking, working and talking with you, Dad. I love the way you honor the priesthood of God. I thank you for teaching me to keep my body healthy and to participate in and appreciate sports. I love the example you are of honest and persistent work and planning. I honor your counsel and appreciate your wisdom. I love you, Mom, for the charity of your heart and I always felt that I could talk with you about anything and you would not judge me in a way that would make me feel less. Your love is expansive and always shared. You both sacrificed so much for us, but I see the blessings you have received in return and I see you acknowledging the Lord’s goodness in granting those blessings to you. You love to serve Him and you serve him so diligently. You mean so much to me and I thrill to think that our relationship is not bound to this life, but will continue to grow throughout the eternities in a special way ordained by the Lord for families that honor His name. May the Lord continue to bless you on this special anniversary and the many more to come. We anxiously look forward to our future opportunities to be with you and learn from you. We love you with all our hearts and say, “God be with you ‘til we meet again.” Love forever, Mark Allen Kropf

Brenda’s Testimony: I Know that my Redeemer lives. The words of this sacred hymn have become a foundation for my testimony over the years. We have just commemorated the sacrifice and resurrection of our Savior. I have felt my testimony of his infinite atonement strengthened through scripture study, music, and reliving the final week of his life. I love Jesus Christ and I know He suffered for me and for all who have lived, who live now and who will yet live on the earth. I do stand amazed at how His love can be so far reaching but I know that it is. I am grateful for the plan of our loving Heavenly Father and know that if it is followed we will live eternally with our families in His presence once again. I know the Book of Mormon brings me closer to God. Studying it daily has made the difference in my happiness and in my ability to feel closer to my Savior. I am so grateful for all the books of scripture that the Lord has given us and am especially grateful for the words of our living prophets found in the Ensign, New Era, and Friend. I know President Thomas S. Monson is a prophet and He speaks what the Lord wants us to know and do. I am grateful for his example of reaching out to the one just as the Savior himself did during His mortal ministry. I know Joseph Smith saw God and His Son, Jesus Christ in response to his gospel- searching prayer. I know he too was a prophet chosen by God to restore His church and the fullness of the gospel back to the earth. I am so grateful for the many sacrifices that he and his family made to follow the Lord and bless the world with the truth and the priesthood. I love the temple and am grateful to be able to attend and feel the Spirit there. I know it is the House of the Lord. I am thankful for the blessing of being a wife and mother with the direction the Spirit gives to teach and direct our children back to Him. I share these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen Mom and Dad, I feel very blessed to be able to call you by such titles. From the beginning, you have treated me like one of the family. I have always appreciated how inclusive you are and accepting of each individual member of your family. I am especially grateful for the example of love and devotion you have set for your children and I have been richly blessed by your oldest son following with exactness in your footsteps. He is my greatest joy and my eternal love and I know that blessing is an extension of you and your love. Thank you for showing an interest in our family, while still tending to the needs of each family within the family. We are thankful for your example of service to the Lord in each of the callings you have been given. Thank you for teaching us along the way how to serve with diligence. We are also so grateful for your willingness to give direction when asked, followed with confidence and encouragement in our ability to “go and do.” We love you and honor you and thank you for who you are. Love eternally, Brenda Kropf

Aubrey’s Testimony: I absolutely love my Savior and I know that He lives! I am so grateful for His love for me and that He gave His life so that I can be forgiven and repent of all of my sins, and strive everyday to become more like my Savior. He is my greatest strength and greatest Friend and I know that as I trust in Him, He will always be with me. I am so grateful for the blessings of the Atonement in my life and knowing that because of my Savior, I can return to live with Him again. I am so grateful for the blessings of the gospel and I know that this church is true. I can’t imagine my life without it and I am so grateful for the joy that comes from living it. I know that the Prophet Joseph Smith was called of God and that through Him, he helped to restore the gospel back to the earth and to translate the Book of Mormon. I know that this book is true and that it is the word of God and another testament of Christ. I am so grateful for the testimonies of the prophets and for how the scriptures bring so much peace and strength in reminding me to “live in the world and not of it.” I also know that I can go to my Father in Heaven anytime in prayer and that He will be there listening. I know that He hears and answers my prayers and that He is with me always. Prayer brings so much peace, guidance, and comfort in my life and I am so grateful for my loving Heavenly Father who strengthens me in all I do. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is our prophet today and that he is ordained of God to lead and guide the church on the earth today. I know that the words he speaks are as if the Lord is speaking to us and that blessings do come from following the prophet. I also am so grateful for the incredible blessings of the temple and it is my favorite place on earth! I am so grateful for the covenants we make there that bind us with eternity and that I can serve and do the work for those that are unable to do it for themselves. I love the temple and I know that someday I will be able to be sealed in the temple to the most amazing, worthy, righteous Melchizedek Priesthood holder for time and all eternity. I am so grateful for these blessings and I know that my Savior lives! I know that this is His work and I promise to help move the work of the Lord forward and to not be ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation. I know that I am a divine daughter of God and that as I follow my Savior in truth and righteousness, that I will be able to return to live with my family to my Father in Heaven for eternity. I know these things are true with all my heart and I say these things in the name of my beloved, Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen

Hannah’s testimony: I know that my Redeemer lives. I know that he died for ME so that someday, if I stay worthy, I can come back to live with him once again. I know that without the gospel I would not be where I am today. It has helped me strengthen my talents, become a better speaker and leader, and share a light with others that do not have the Lord in their life. i know that the commandments and standards given to us by prophets and our church leaders, are firm guidelines shared for us to follow and if followed, we can always have his Spirit to be with us. I know that Joseph Smith was and is a true prophet of God and that he did restore the only and true Church of Jesus Christ ofLatter-day Saints. I believe that he did see God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ in the sacred grove and that they called him by name and testified to him the fullness of the gospel. They know us each personally and long for us to make the right decisions so that we can be with them again. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is our true prophet today and that he leads us on the path of righteousness. I know the scriptures are true words spoken by God himself through living prophets. I know that prayer is a direct way for us to keep in touch with our Father in Heaven. And I say these things, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. I love making rolls with Grandma and learning about awesome history with Grandpa.

McKay’s testimony 13 years-old: I’d like to bear my testimony that I know this church is true, and Joseph Smith restored the gospel and the priesthood was then founded upon the earth. President Thomas S. Monson is our true and beloved prophet, as well as the apostles and I believe and follow their teachings. I know that the Book of Mormon teaches true gospel principles, and I believe in them. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins, and he died for us so we could live and he died on the cross and was resurrected. I say these things in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ Amen. I love you so much! I love making food and helping grandma with things. And I love hearing interesting things from Grandpa, learning new things from him. Their house and yard are so pretty, nice and comfortable. I love the hugs I give and receive from you because they bring comfort to me while we’re visiting. Our spring break is probably the best break I have ever had in my life! It was so much fun to be with you, and go watch a fun movie. It was also really fun just being in your home and spending time with you, and watching basketball and movies together. I love you both so much! – McKay Kropf

Samuel’s Testimony: I would like to bear my testimony that I know that the Book of Mormon was translated by a true prophet Joseph Smith and I know he was a great leader in the Church back then. I love going to the Church to learn more about Jesus Christ. I know we have a living prophet today. I love my mother and father. They are so kind and helpful to me. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen. Grandpa, thank you so much for letting me play chess with you. I will be practicing over the next few years. Thanks so much. Grandma, thank you for letting us play the Wii when we visited your house. Thank you for all that you let us use while we stayed in your nice house. Being with you was great. Thanks so much!

Annica’s testimony 8 years-old: I love bearing my testimony and even though it is very scary, I have faith and I can stand strong. I love you both and I love my family. I want you to know that Jesus died on the cross for me and for you and for the whole universe. I know the scriptures are true and I love to learn from them. My favorite story in the Book of Mormon is the story of Ammon. The King trusted Ammon and because of the way Ammon protected the King’s sheep and servants, the King respected Ammon and even asked him if he was actually the “Great Spirit.” And Ammon said he was only a man but then he could teach him about whom the “Great Spirit” was. I know who the “Great Spirit” is; it is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I know He lives, our Redeemer Jesus. I know that he lives . I always get excited to listen to the prophet and read his words. I know President Thomas S. Monson is our true prophet and that he speaks true words about Jesus and Heavenly Father. I know I can pray to Heavenly Father anytime, anywhere, even at school. I love to talk to Him. I am grateful for all that He does for me. I would like to feel the nailprints in His hands and feet. I would love to be just like Him. I want to look into His eyes and say, “I love you.” I would love to be married in the temple so I can have an eternal family. Mosiah 3:16 says, “And even if it were possible that little children could sin, they could not be saved; but I say unto you, they are blessed.” I feel blessed to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Dear Grandma and Grandpa Kropf I LOVE YOU because you let me make dinner with you. It was so fun with you and delicious! Grandpa lets me play checkers with him. You are both so loving and kind and cheerful. Grandma, you always look pretty and Grandpa, you always look handsome. I remember one time that you played soccer with me and you won. It was so cool! I love that you pray for me and for all that you do. I love you so much! Annica Kropf

Sarah’s testimony 5 years-old: I know the Church is true. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet. He found the plates of gold and that he followed Jesus’ commands. He saw Heavenly Father and Jesus because he prayed. When Jesus died on the cross, I was really sad. I know Jesus lives again now. He is the true Master. He is in our heart. I know the Golden Rule is true. It helps me be like Jesus. I love my family and I want to be with them forever. I love to read scriptures and the Ensign. I know my Savior lives because He is true. He has the gospel and He did miracles. I know He got resurrected on Easter and that He is alive now. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. I love you because you are so nice playing games with me. I like to play checkers and I like to play in your backyard. I love your hugs because you are nice. I like your room because it is beautiful and quiet. I love you forever! Sarah Kropf

Happy Anniversary! Thank you for your great example. This year's Anniversary and my favorite number happen to be the same! I hope I'm able to follow in your footsteps. I love you, Love, Whit

Dear Mom and Dad, I would like to begin my recollection of thoughts by saying how blessed I am to have married into such an amazing family. As I look back and think about the past 15 1/2 years of my association with you my heart begins to swell with gratitude, love and admiration. First of all, I am grateful for the opportunity you gave as you opened your home and allowed those sweet Elders to teach the gospel to me in a spot where I would for sure feel the safety and peace and what I have come to know and now know today to be as the spirit. I didn't think it a big deal when I was having my lessons but to think back now, it was. That will always hold a special place in my heart separate from Whitney's and my relationship. I am grateful for all of the help and support you have given me through the years. Whether it be moral or physical help you have always been there! It is obvious to not only myself but to everyone with whom you associate with that all your actions are motivated by love, love for your friends, love for your family, love for each other, and most importantly love for the Savior. I have great comfort in knowing that I am accepted by you the way I am and that your intentions are honest and true. I constantly feel your love and that you have mine and my families best interest at heart. It is fun for me to run into or visit with people who know you (well or not so well) and they have so many great things to say about you both. I feel proud to be associated with you! I admire so many things about the both of you. Your integrity speaks for itself. And it speaks volumes! If it is one thing I want my boys to learn from your example is your level of integrity. You always honor your word even when no one is looking, and that is amazing and rare to find. Learning to love serving others and especially each other is something that I have been watching you do for years and I am a product of your love and service. Since becoming a member of the church have I have developed a desire to want to love and serve others and share in that joy. Another thing I admire is your patience and tenderness. Thank you for your example of patience and tenderness to not only me but my family. I can only hope that I will be as patient and tender to those around me. One of my favorite things that you have taught me and has also helped to strengthen my testimony is how you love the Lord. Thank you for helping me to grow in the gospel and through your quiet example teach me to become the Wife, Mom, daughter, sister and friend I want to become. I love both of you and am excited to help you celebrate another year together! What an amazing legacy you are leaving!!! Love You, Ali

Hi Grandma and Grandpa! Happy Anniversary! You are great examples of how we should act, feel, and treat other people. You two are good people together. You have your own character traits. Grandma, you are kind, thoughtful, and enthusiastic. Grandpa, you are brave, loyal, and very wise. But together you both are athletic, have strong hearts and you are great missionaries of the gospel. You strengthen my testimony by encouraging us to go to church, to read the scriptures, and to do family home evening. You treat us like how you want to be treated back. You are gentle and delicate to others around you. I feel good and safe while I’m around you. Especially when you come and watch me in all of my sports, and activities. Thank you Grandpa for teaching me how to play chess and for helping me with my scout program. And grandma, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to teach me how to play the piano, and how to cook. I can’t believe that you are teachers of the marriage class and were missionaries of the institute. You two are great people together and don’t forget that. You are great examples for my family and I. And again HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Love, Tanner Kropf I Love You!

Grandpa you can draw good! I love learning how to do things from you so that I can go on a mission and get married in the temple (but not now, I am too little.) I love you very much! Love, Kael

Dear Mom and Dad, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! There is never a day that goes by that I don't thank my Heavenly Father for blessing me with the most Wonderful parents in the world. You both have been such a great example to me. Your strong faith, knowledge, and love for the Savior Jesus Christ has helped me want to be just like you. I know that I have some challenges in my life from the choices I have made, but you have never made me feel any less of a person and I appreciate your unconditional love. Growing up in the Gospel with a Father who held the priesthood and a Mother who supported him, just seemed to be a natural way of life until you see others that are lacking that special gift that we had. Dad, I am grateful to you for being such a Wonderful Father. I will never forget your willingness in holding family devotionals and scripture studies. Many of the lessons you taught have been instilled in my head. I remember when you sat us down in a circle and explained to us that we were like links to a chain, and it was very important to keep those links together. We needed to be wise in the choices we made so that our link would not break. I would think to myself that I did not want to be the broken link and be a disappointment to my family. I know I am not perfect, but this lesson along with many others has helped me try hard to make the right choices so that I be a good example to my children. You have always been a very hard worker, many hours working outside of our home and the many hours you spent making sure our home looked beautiful. You worked so hard to provide for our family and I appreciate you for doing that. I don't think any of us had to do without. You made every effort to be involved in my life and took the time to ask questions about how things were going. You taught me that work was very important and even though I didn't save much I felt like I had accomplished something. Mom, I am grateful to you for the wonderful mother that you are. What a great example you are to me in all that you do. You have never faltered in following the gospel by attending your church meetings, upholding your many callings, studying your scriptures, preparing many family home evening lessons and kneeling down to pray to your Heavenly Father . You have always made me feel so important and you made sure you were there for my every need. You made sure there was always yummy food to eat and clean clothes to wear. If you weren't cooking, cleaning or ironing you were running kids to there many activities. You are amazing ! I am most impressed with that fact that you Never complained, you just made sure that we were well taken care of. There were many nights that you sacrificed your sleep to help me with school projects or sewing a new outfit so that I could wear it to school the next day. I always felt so much comfort and peace to know that you were there for me, whether it is laying by you at night when I was scared or just hearing your voice on the phone. You both have been such a great influence in my life. I am grateful to you for the Love and Kindness that you show to one another. You have a very special relationship and I admire you for that. I hope your anniversary is extra special and look forward to many more to come. I Love You Both Very Much! Love Your Daughter, Erin

Grandma and Grandpa, Happy Anniversay! Grandma, I wanted to Thank You so much for helping my mom out by helping take care of me for the first 3 weeks of my life. Grandpa, Thank You so much for taking the time to come to my house and give me a blessing. I will always love you for that. I Love You so Much. Love, Weston

Dearest Mom and Dad, as a parent of 4 beautiful children I think of you both, often, as we try to raise our children in righteousness. I appreciate the example you set for me as you raised 7 of us in love. It is a difficult, sometimes daunting task to try and be half the parents you were to us. I look back at many of the challenges you had with each of us and can’t think of a time when I ever questioned your love and faith in us. I’d really like to thank you for that and supporting us no matter what. I have to say that some of the most special, life changing experiences I’ve had with each of you were quiet, peaceful moments where none of us even exchanged a word. One of the most vivid pictures I have from my childhood is as a young boy quietly entering your bedroom to say good night and seeing you both, kneeling in prayer, side by side, holding hands. I watched for just a short second or two and saw firsthand the special relationship you had together and our Heavenly Father. That small act that probably took place most nights between the two of you and our Heavenly Father meant a lot to me then as it does now. I realize that I was a challenging child during my last few years when I was home. I made some choices that were not good and I’m sorry for any sorrow that may have caused. I look back to that miracle in my life when we discovered LDS Business College that summer of 1995 on that great family trip to Utah. Moving away from home at that point in my life was crucial to me changing my life and getting things in order. I had a chapel across the street from my apartment there in Salt Lake and was drawn to it because of my wonderful upbringing. I knew I didn’t have to go to church, no one would know, but I did because it was where I knew I should be. My testimony was strengthened during that experience away and it wasn’t long before I knew I had to serve a mission. I put my life in order and made the changes necessary to become worthy again. This brings me to another quiet moment that I’ve never shared with either of you or anyone for that matter. It was in the middle of the night, lying in bed at the MTC. I knew I had taken the proper steps to be forgiven months before entering the MTC but I was having difficulty forgiving myself. I’ll never forget the special experience I had. In that quiet, dark room I felt encompassed with light. I felt that Mom was there with me and gave me a loving embrace. I felt as close to my Heavenly Father as I ever had and I knew that He had forgiven me. I appreciate the atonement and am grateful for that experience that changed my life and made me whole again. Another quiet moment that helped form my life was on the day I gave my homecoming talk after my mission. Dad, I think I have only seen you shed a tear twice. Once was on the difficult passing of your Mother, our sweet Grandma Kropf. The other came as I finished my homecoming talk. As I finished my talk I turned to see you on the pulpit with a single tear streaming down your face. I wanted more than anything to make you proud of me and that was a point in my life that I knew you were. I’m grateful for that experience because at that moment I felt as close to you as I ever have. Those experiences and many, many others are what make me the man I am today. I appreciate the hugs, patience, kindness and sacrifices you made for me. I am thankful to each of you for raising us in truth and righteousness. I am proud of the name that I have and to be a part of such a wonderful family. I’m grateful for my testimony of the gospel and grateful to both of you because it stems from what you taught me, quietly and through your words of wisdom. I love you both dearly, thank you. Eric

Dear Dad & Mom, As I have taken the last few weeks to think about what I would like to share with you, I have realized what a huge impact you both have had on my testimony. I am so grateful for the way you have raised your children. Your commitment to the gospel and your callings is truly amazing to me. You are wonderful examples to everyone you come into contact with, including myself and my family. I hope you both know how much I love you. I appreciate your support, advice and guidance. As a couple, and a family, we have felt your love, patience and prayers in those things we have struggled with since we have been married. I always feel such a sense of peace in your home and around you. I have always had a strong testimony of the gospel. I know that families can be together forever. I know the scriptures are true and that they can positively change a home and family when they are read together. I know that tithing is such an important commandment and paying it brings more blessings than we could ever realize. I am so grateful for the priesthood – especially that we can have it in our homes. I feel so blessed to be married to a worthy priesthood holder who takes his responsibility seriously. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God and is here to guide us. I feel so blessed to have the knowledge I have here on earth. I am trying my best to do what my Heavenly Father wants me to do. I have a testimony of the temple and of temple marriage. I feel so blessed to have found my eternal companion and that we have been entrusted with four beautiful children. I know that I am not alone and I am so grateful for that testimony. Thank you for being such great examples to me and my family. Thank you for accepting me for who I am – flaws and all. Thank you for raising a wonderful son so that I can have a wonderful husband. Love, Jessica

Dear Grandpa & Grandma, You are both very special to me. I had a great time at our reunion last year and will never forget all the fun we had. I had such a fun time with the remote control car race. I still can’t believe I got to take one home! I know the church is true. I love all my family and I am grateful for the fun times we have together. I like to have family home evening and reading the Book of Mormon each night. Love, Shylar

Dear Grandpa & Grandma, I remember hearing the story when we went to the M & M store in Las Vegas together before I could talk. I loved to hear how Grandpa constantly fed me M & M's while Mom and Dad weren't looking. The evidence was on my face though as I soon had a chocolate mustache. We have a picture up in our home to remember that day and it is one of my favorites. When Grandma visited us I remember our long walk to the park and even though we got lost, you cheered me up with those sour little candies that were so good! I know the church is true. I love my family. I am thankful for the scriptures. I am thankful for testimonies and the church and how important it is. I’m thankful for the Holy Bible. Love, Kaidyn

Dear Grandpa & Grandma, I love to give you both hugs and kisses. You are very special to me. I like Shylar’s testimony. I love to go to primary and sing the songs. My favorite song is Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam. I love Jesus. Love, Trey

Dear Grandpa & Grandpa, Thank you, Grandma, for coming to my home right after I was born. I know that this helped my parents so much and my brothers all loved being able to spend so much time with you. I also thought it was neat that you got to meet me so soon after I was born. I am so glad that you both were able to come to my blessing. My blessing dress is so beautiful and I know I looked so cute in it. I can’t wait to see you again soon to build more memories. I love you Grandma & Grandpa! Love, Raegan

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DAD & MOM!!!! Dad and Mom, How blessed I am to be your son and to be a part of a family that because of your influence, love and example can be an Eternal one. I am grateful for the effort and love you put into your relationship as husband and wife and our relationship as a family knowing that we can be together forever. On the wall of our home growing up was a beautiful hand stitched scripture from the book of 3 John 1:4 “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth” It was evident to me from early on that this scripture had real meaning to you and that it was not just an ornament or a shallow wish but was more a mission statement that you exemplified to us each and every day that living and learning the truths of the gospel would bring joy to us all. There have been many instances in my life where I have thought about you both and the scripture on the wall and the happiness that is created by choosing what is right. You both are incredible examples to me of the happiness that can be experienced and enjoyed in this life through righteously living the truths of the gospel. Although I have affirmed and reaffirmed my testimony through prayer my testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was born at home as I watched you both teach from the scriptures and uplift from your examples. The first time I prayed as a young boy about the truthfulness of the gospel the Spirit opened my eyes to the realization that I already knew it was true. It was your Sunday devotionals Dad and those tender moments when you testified of the Savior and His life that a seed was planted. As a young boy there was nobody greater to me than you, the bravest, toughest, most talented and incredible person I knew and yet as you taught I learned that you looked to someone greater for your strength. It was at that time that I learned that Jesus is our Master, Creator and the One we should look to and the One if we put our trust in will never fail us. Mom, it was the sincere prayers you offered when you did not know we were looking and the reverent way you welcomed the Spirit into our home through your music, kind words, warm hugs, and unselfish service that nourished the seed of truth in me and helped it to grow. My faith and testimony increased through your lessons of integrity, hard work, and respect for the Sabbath, tithing and seeking the Spirit. There was never a time when you compromised your beliefs and because of that me testimony continued to grow. The reverent and humble manner in which you both loved and worshipped in the home and the lives you lived outside the home was the foundation of what I know to be true. God does live and He sent His Son to live and die for us. Jesus Christ is our Savior. He overcame all to satisfy the demands of justice so that mercy may be given. I know that the prophet Joseph Smith was called of God to restore the truth, the saving ordinances of the gospel and the words found within the sacred Book of Mormon. We are sons and daughters of a living God. I am so grateful for the blessings we receive in the holy temples and the promise of eternal families. I am eternally grateful to our Father in Heaven for allowing me to be your son and as you celebrate this anniversary I celebrate you both and the incredible parents, grandparents, exemplars and leaders that you are. If I may alter the words of John to a more personal scriptural text, “I have joy because my parents have taught, lived and loved the truth.” I love you both so very much. Love, Your son, Tyler

We are all delighted to celebrate your years of marriage and the family you have created in those years. However, the greater celebration is that this family you created is one that comes from two remarkable people that have been sealed together forever. Your many years of marriage are something to rejoice, but it is insurmountable to your eternity together. In Russell M. Nelsons talk on celestial marriage he states, “The noblest yearning of the human heart is for a marriage that can endure beyond death. Fidelity to a temple marriage does that. It allows families to be together forever.” So I congratulate you on the beginning of your happily ever after. You are wonderful examples of how to live up to your eternal marriage. You are wonderful people and help everyone around you, mom is a great chef and dad is a great leader. I believe your greatest trait is one that you share; your relationship. Since we met I have noticed how often you tell one another you love each other, give hugs, sneak a kiss from one another, help each other, refrain from arguments or speaking ill of one another, and how you both still try to impress one another (maybe that is why dad is so competitive with his board games?). Russell M Nelson continues his talk and says, “Harmony in marriage comes only when one esteems the welfare of his or her spouse among the highest of priorities. When that really happens, a celestial marriage becomes a reality, bringing great joy in this life and in the life to come.” You have been an example of harmony and a testament of how joyful life can be. You both put each other first in conjunction with being closer to Heavenly Father. I fell in love with Tyler and I also fell in love with his family. I am so blessed that it is now my family too. Thank you for your love, support and example. We love you and are blessed to have you in our lives. I am glad our children have such wonderful grandparents. I am appreciative of your unconditional love you show to one another and your entire family. You both make me aspire to be a better spouse, mother, and daughter. Congratulations and most importantly thank you for being such an important part of our lives. . I love you mom and dad. -Margaux

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY GRANDMA AND GRANDPA! I love you both very much. You are such great examples to me. You make me feel so special when you are around. I love to play fun games with you when you come and visit. When I pray I like to ask Heavenly Father to bless Papa and Grandma. I think about the time when I was able to stay at your house for a whole week and the fun time I had with you outside in the yard and inside cooking and being able to look at the great picture book you made for me. You are so thoughtful and caring. Grandpa, thank you for reading with me and making funny voices. Grandma, thank you for making so many nice things for me like purses and clothes, I love playing with them. I am so happy to be your granddaughter. I love you, Reese

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY GRANDMA AND GRANDPA! I was just born two months ago and am so glad to be your granddaughter. You make me smile and I love it when you hold me. My parents and big sister Reese speak of you often and it always is with a smile. I look forward to the many experiences we will have together. Families are wonderful and I am grateful to be a part of your family. Have a great Anniversary. I love you, Rylee

Happy 44th Anniversary Mom and Dad! The perfect time to express to you my gratitude for your incredible examples in marriage and family and your faithfulness in the gospel. Your great influence continues to bless my life! It has been wonderful to watch you over the years in your marriage. You ran a home and family beautifully together- each of you doing your part to bring comfort and happiness to our home. I remember the slide show you made around maybe your 25th wedding anniversary of all the things you’ve done together with your favorite songs playing in the background. I loved watching you celebrate your love! You made our home a peaceful place to be. It is fun now watching you as “empty nesters.” You are doing fun things together and enjoying each day to the fullest: serving in the church, exercising, traveling, and beautifying your home together. Mom, I feel so blessed to have such a woman as you to pattern my life after. One of the things I admire about you the most is your strong, contagious optimism and zest for life! When I think about great memories of you growing up, I think of many things, but remember in particular how in preparation for Senior Prom we shopped and shopped and couldn’t find a modest dress. We ended up buying material pretty close to last minute. I remember you worked hard on the dress and had me try it on for a fitting before I went to bed and it was still far from finished. I went to bed and woke up in the morning finding a beautiful, modest, finished dress hanging in my closet. I remember just marveling at your love for me- sacrificing sleep to finish my dress. Dad, I look to you as a great solid strength in my life. I have learned so much by watching your dedication and discipline- the things you have accomplished and how not a minute of your time has been wasted! I’ve always admired how productive you are with your time and I think a lot now about if what I’m doing is productive or not! I remember a special time while I was at home for the summer and engaged to be married. You were in the Stake Presidency and I accompanied you to another ward building to hear you speak. I was taken off guard when you started to speak about me. You explained how I had lived a worthy life and how because of that I was blessed to find a worthy companion and prepare to be married in the temple. I couldn’t have felt more honored. Being a wife and mother myself now I realize the great strength and sacrifice it takes to do all that you both did for me. I know that I’m a much better wife and mother because of your example. I am so happy that our children are getting to know you better and are learning from your lives. They have a great legacy! I’ve watched both of you serve in various callings in the church and magnify them to the fullest. I was the recipient of many wonderful family home evenings, scripture readings and discussions on gospel subjects. I felt the spirit regularly in our home and I don’t remember ever not having a testimony that the gospel is true. Now the gospel is everything to me and I have no doubt of its validity. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t recognize how blessed I am to have the guiding influence of prayer, personal revelation, scriptures, words of the living prophet, the peace and blessings that come through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and the blessings of the priesthood. Thank you for all you have done to raise me with the influence of the gospel. I love you both dearly. Love, Marcee

What a great accomplishment! Many congratulations on 44 years of marriage! I feel so fortunate to have you both as my in-laws. You both are such wonderful examples in so many ways. Your love and devotion to each other and the Lord are truly inspiring to all of us. I have to begin by expressing my gratitude for being married to one of your daughters. The odds were not in my favor as there are only two in the whole world. Fortunately Wade and I were the two lucky guys. I have been given a wonderful gift to have Marcee, as my eternal companion. She is the fruit of your loving and diligent parental efforts. She makes my life so good and complete. I have you to thank for her upbringing and teaching. When I first met Marcee she often referred to great family traditions like: vishsuaq on Christmas Eve, snail painting / racing competitions on Memorial Day, and finding the coveted “golden egg” on Easter. I could tell that she had parents that loved and cared for her. Marcee knows she is a daughter of God because that is how she was raised. She understands her divine worth and the importance of her role as a Mother. Because of your great example as parents Marcee is now raising our children in a like manor as she was raised, teaching our children of their divine nature and importance. The effects of your example and actions will have an effect on many generations and for all of eternity. In times of decisions and crossroads in our family’s life I have always felt confident in your advice and counsel. You have helped us to understand the will and desire of the Lord in our life. I particularly recall an instance when I was talking to Dad explaining how a certain chain of events were falling exactly and perfectly into place. As we talked he explained that this was a direct blessing for those that are faithful in paying their tithes and offerings. I’ll never forget the lesson that he taught Marcee and me in that simple conversation. I had never considered that such blessings were the result from paying our tithes. That sealed my testimony on the blessing it is to pay the Lord a full tithe. I sincerely appreciate your wise parental counsel and advice. I have always felt that when we turn to you both for advice we find objective pros and cons that are grounded in gospel truths, and then given counsel to make a decision and take it to the Lord for a confirmation. I’m sure the Lord smiles down when he see the diligent service rendered by Anne and Allen Kropf. When called to serve you don’t merely accept you engage and thrust his work forward. Your example inspires and motivates me to give my all in whatever calling or assignment that the Lord gives me. Often times I wonder if I’d be able to keep up with your busy pace of service in the gospel. On April 9th 2000 President Hinckley offered the dedicatory prayer for the Fresno California temple. He prayed, “Wilt Thou bless all who will serve within this sacred structure. They will come here to assist in bringing to pass Thy work and Thy glory, even the immortality and eternal life of man. May they not weary in well doing. May they be blessed with strength and vitality to carry on the rigorous activity which lies before them. Bless the temple president and his counselors, the matron and her assistants, and everyone who serves in any capacity in this Thy sacred house.” I honestly feel you have been both have been beneficiaries of that wonderful blessing that President Hinckley offered as he dedicated the temple to the Lord. The Lord has blessed you with “strength and vitality” for all the service that you have given. I have taken the liberty to quantify the number of people that both of you have touched. I feel that quantifying things gives a better picture and understanding of the extent of efforts and actions taken. I have put together a few numbers and made a few assumptions which I feel are fairly accurate. I must put a disclaimer on my analysis as I don’t feel I fully captured all the people that you have affected and influenced. So at best my estimates are low. Beginning with your children (7), spouses (7), grandchildren (22 for now), great grandchildren (88 estimate), members of the Madera 1st Ward (500), members of the Fresno West Stake (3,500), members in the Fresno Temple District (28,000), estimated people contacted through missionary service and that of your children (36,500), estimated number of vicarious endowments performed during tenure at the Fresno temple (71,250), estimate of people that will be contacted through missionary service of your grandchildren (94,900). A sum of 234,774 people life’s touched. This figure doesn’t even include neighbors, friends, associations made in school systems, professional organizations, and many other relationships and places you have served. As amazing and large as 234,774 people seems, you both never forget to serve the one. You understand that each person is a child of God with infinite worth and serve accordingly. The two of you have made an overwhelming impact on so many people’s lives. Thank you both for your Christ like examples and righteous living. You have made a lasting impression on my life for which I’m eternally grateful. When we look back from the eternities at our time in mortality we’ll realize the minuscule time that we were on Earth but the great importance that it had on our eternal happiness and progression. May God bless both of you for all the efforts you have made in your life thus far and your faith demonstrated in our Savior. With much love. - Forest

Grandma and Grandpa, When my mom told me you were celebrating your 44th wedding anniversary I said “That’s a lot!” You mean a lot to me. You are loving and kind. Grandma, I remember how you made me pajamas with a matching robe. I love those pajamas. They make me feel so warm and cozy and I think of you when I wear them. I also love my Raggedy-Ann doll. I take her to bed with me and love thinking about how much time you spent making her for me. I remember how you taught me how to knit. You knit me a scarf and a purse that I love! Thank you for all you do to help me feel loved. Grandpa, I love how you do the Kropf Kids comics. I think you’re a great artist and I love to read them every month. I love when you come play with me. One of my favorite memories is when you gave our whole family our own huge root beer float mugs. Thank you for being such a great Grandpa. I’m looking forward to my baptism in December. I want to be baptized like Jesus and receive the Holy Ghost so I can have his spirit with me every minute. I love you so much. Your granddaughter, Kallee

Grandma and Grandpa, When my mom told me you were celebrating your 44th wedding anniversary I said that I hope I can be married for 44 years someday too! My mom asked me what I would do for my wife to make her want to be married to me for 44 years and I said I would do all the dishes! Grandma, my favorite memory of you is when you came to my house this past Christmas and brought all the fixings to make gingerbread houses with me. I loved putting the house together and decorating it any way I wanted to. Grandpa, I love playing checkers with you. You’ve given me some good matches. I loved how you sat with me on my couch and raced me on the Wii. I love the times when you have laid on my bed with me and my sisters and told us funny stories. I love going to Primary and learning about the gospel in my home. I know Jesus is real. Thank you for being a big part of my life. I love you. Love, Jake

Happy Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa! I love when you come to my house. Grandpa, I love to sit on your lap. Grandma, I love my Raggedy Ann doll you made for me. I love going to nursey and learning about Jesus in our home. My testimony will continue to grow! I feel like such a lucky girl to have you both in my life! Thank you for all you do for me. I love you lots! Love, Kenna

Ma N Pops, Happy Anniversary! Now that I have experienced a few anniversaries myself, I consider every anniversary a milestone as so many things happen each year. To have a day to celebrate the many successes, challenges, and accomplishments you have had together is very special and fun to have. I hope this and each anniversary is even sweeter than the last one! It is my privilege to express to you how grateful I am for you guys, and also what a blessing it is to be your son. Two very personal and profound experiences come to mind when thinking of the impact you have had on my life. Mom, during my mission I remember having some challenges between the language, culture, distance from home, etc. I remember wrestling with myself on how effective I was as a missionary and if my service was satisfactory enough to be out in the mission field. I will never forget the night I received an answer to my prayers when I had a short recollection of you by your bedside saying your nightly prayers. I knew you prayed for me constantly. I knew no matter how things were going or how I felt, you were proud of me and that’s all that mattered. That has since been such an inspiring experience for me; it will be a source of strength for me for the rest of my life. You are compassionate, loving, a great example, and the best mom in the world! Dad, several experiences sum up one major highlight I would like to share with you. I have been so lucky to have had you as my teacher and example in the priesthood. Every covenant and ordination has been through you exercising your priesthood. I have been very lucky (especially with timing) for you to set me apart for my mission and also perform the temple sealing. Those were major milestones in my life and you have been with me as my leader every step of the way. I appreciate your wisdom, leadership, love, and constant positive support you give me. I feel like I can do and accomplish anything. You are the best dad in the world! Your parenting and examples have enriched my life in a way that I have never had any doubt of the true principles you taught me and raised me on. My testimony in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ were easily obtained and never questioned; only strengthened as I have sought a stronger testimony. It is a great gift you have given me through your examples and teaching: to have faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Everything else falls into place with it. Your son, Kyle

Congratulations Mom and Dad! What a joyous journey you both have shared with one another! You have accomplished so much and have raised an incredible family that has multiplied by the dozen! We are all so fortunate to call you Mom and Dad...or Grandma and Grandpa! Although I knew of you while growing up, and had Mom as one of my leaders in the Young Women's program, it wasn't until Kyle and I began dating that I was able to be around you more often and get to know you and your family on a personal level. One thing that I had always noticed was how positive and kind natured you both are. You were so supportive of my decision to serve a mission and regularly mailed me letters of spiritual encouragement, which really meant so much to me. You have always been a constant source of love, joy and wisdom. You both have contributed to and strengthened my personal testimony and love of the gospel. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that we are loved more than we can ever comprehend. Because of that constant love, I know that Heavenly Father has left us in the care of prophets to teach and guide us in righteousness. I know that Joseph Smith was the prophet of the Restoration and that through the power of God, he was able to translate the Book of Mormon. How grateful I am to know for myself that the Book of Mormon is a true account of people that had faith in and were visited by the Savior. The testimonies of ancient prophets fill its pages and plainly teach the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the Book of Mormon and I know that we can draw nearer to the Lord as we study and apply its teachings in our lives. I love you both and have to thank you and commend you for raising such an amazing family! It is such an honor to be a part of your family! Congratulations and Happy Anniversary! Love, Melanie

Dear Grandma and Grandpa, Although I am only 8 months old, I whispered in my mommy and daddy’s ears something to tell you. If my hands weren’t so small, I would just type this myself. It was so special to have you here on my blessing day. When you first came to visit me for my blessing, I think I recognized you from somewhere before. Maybe someday I will remember better. I loved my all white outfit you picked for me, Grandma. I remember feeling so much love from each of you when you held me in your arms. Daddy and mommy tell me you are celebrating your 44th wedding anniversary. It seems like the last 8 months were so long44 years must be forever. When I get married and have an anniversary thingy, I want to celebrate it with you; because by then you’ll have had so many that you would know how to throw a really good party. I hope you have a wonderful anniversary! I love you! Bryce Carter
