TWO PEOPLE, TWO HEARTS, TWO LIVES, BECOME ONE HEART, ONE MIND, ONE NEW LIFE TOGETHER.
Love is... Being happy for the other person when they are happy; Being sad for the person when they are sad; Being together in good times, and being together in bad times. Love is the source of strength. Love is... Being honest with yourself at all times; Being honest with the other person at all times; Telling, listening, respecting the truth and never pretending. Love is the source of reality.
Love is... An understanding so complete that you feel as if you are a part of the other person; Accepting the other person just the way they are and not trying to change them to be something else. Love is the source of unity. Love is... The freedom to pursue your own desires while sharing your experiences with the other person; The growth of one individual alongside of, and together with, the growth of another individual. Love is the source of success. Love is... The excitement of planning things together; The excitement of doing things together. Love is the source of the future.
Love is... Giving and taking in a daily situation; Being patient with each others needs and desires. Love is the source of sharing. Love is... Knowing that the other person will always be with you - regardless of what happens; Missing the other person when they are away - but remaining near in heart at all times. Love is the source of security. Love is the source of Life. Read by Sarah McCormick

I call on the persons here present to witness that I, Jolene Emma Hill, take you, Brenton Luke McDonald, to be my lawful wedded husband. Brenton, you are my best friend and my one true love. Brenton, when I’m with you, I feel I can be the person I want to be, and I cannot imagine my life without you. You make me smile, you stick up for me, you take care of me and you are always interested in what I have to say and do. Today, I want to make a promise to you and to myself, in front of our friends and family, to love and honour, protect and respect you for the rest of my life.
J | & | B | I love you not only for what you are, but for who I am when I am with you.
Through this marriage ceremony, Brenton and Jolene are choosing to make a life together and share in all its joys and responsibilities. They want to make a lasting commitment based on respect, trust and tenderness that will enable them to grow and find fulfillment within their marriage which would be impossible outside it. May their friendship and the love between them be a solid base on which their marriage will grow strong.
According to an American Indian LegendIf anyone desires a wish to come true, they must first capture a butterfly and whisper that wish to it. Since a butterfly can make no sound, the butterfly cannot reveal the wish to anyone but the Great Spirit, who hears and sees all. In gratitude for giving the beautiful butterfly its freedom, the Great Spirit always grants the wish. So, according to the legend, by making a wish and giving the butterfly its freedom, the wish will be taken to the heavens and be granted.

Dad's Speech Jolene Our gift, Our blessing Born a wonderful bundle of joy To us Jole is Heaven on a Stick The little girl who played princesses out the back yard twirling her frocks around and saying "Look at me! I am a princess". I am sure you all agree and today is a princess!!! When Jole was little she loved picking flowers everywhere she went and loved the birds, the animals and now her three chooks!! She's developing a farm out the back, hey Mrs McDonald!! Then as she grew Grandpa use to take the kids to the races and how Jole learnt how to complete a TAB ticket - even before her dad!! Sweet sixteen she received a car for her birthday and her brothers laughed when Jole didn't even know where to put the key to start it! Then the fun really began! Round the corners we went and a few kangaroo hops here and there. And after many hours of practise she got her drivers licence and there was no stopping Jole then! Jole had a great journey through primary school especially with her mum teaching her in year seven. In fact mum reckons she taught her everything she knows ha! Jole then went to Kolbe and had a great time there, where she met some wonderful friends who some of them are sitting beside her tonight, thanks girls. Then Jole was off to Uni at Notre Dame in Freo. We thought Jole would live, study and do casual work in Freo, maybe share a flat ha! No! Not Jole, she drove back and forth every uni day and stayed at home! Jo use to say she was the most expensive house cleaner in the world! She finally graduated from Notre Dame in Freo and we are very proud of Jole for completing her Uni degree and becoming a teacher just like her mum, aunt's, uncle's and cousins!!
Then the real journey began - the princess set out to find her shining knight in armour and yep, you guessed it, Brenton!! I remember when Jole brought this tall handsome young man home to us, she was just beaming from ear to ear! We got to know Brenton over a few beers & BBQ's. Brenton still can't get over how Jo spends most of her time outside under the patio! Rain, hail or shine she's there and he is often heard to comment about how freezing or Hot it is and how he's going inside! Jole & Brenton dated over the years spending time together going to the movies, out to dinners (especially Joe's Fish Shack) and camping down south. I remember Brenton's first time over seas, Jole planned a trip to Bali and they loved it! Brenton loves going on holidays where ever Jole would like to go, but as usual Jole always plans to see animals, zoo's and safari parks - poor Brenton, but it's the things we do to please our lady I remind him! Jole started teaching in Baldivis and because Jole and Brenton wanted to be together they rented a house close to her school, Jole hated the renting thing, not being able to do what she wanted and having her birds, cat, dog and Brenton's fish tanks! We went through lots of talks as they tried to work out how to have their own place to have all their animals and just to be able to paint a wall or hang up a picture if they wanted to. After about a year they finally bought a house in Rockingham and could do exactly what they wanted. Paint a wall, hang up pictures, have her birds, cat, dog, fish tanks and her three special "girls" her chooks. Not far from home, Jo reckons its 620 steps and a can of bourbon (poor Brenton) - you can imagine lots of walks back and forth! Well Jole and Brenton have waited for this special day for so long. Infact I remember the day Brenton sat in the lounge chair at our place and, yes the two girls, Jo and Jole, were outside talking! Brenton sat down as I was watching the footy on the screen. He satin the chair ummming and aaaahing rubbing the chair arms looking so intense! Then he said, "Bill I would like Jolene to be my bride, can I have your blessing?" I paused, waited, looked at him, "You know what she expects in life, and as long as you take good care of her and look after her you have our blessing." And then I heard the big sigh of relief from
his corner!! Enjoy each other and have fun, enjoy life. Then the wedding planning!! Jole says Dad I want to get married on the Beach, oh fine I replied that sounds great! Where can we have a sausage sizzle and a few beers, on the beach? Of course her reply was, "Ha! You're not funny dad!" Well, I don't have to say too much about that hey?? Here we are! Jo, Jole and I would often walk along the beach at night chatting away about how Jole would like this day to be special for both of them, about planning the ceremony and reception. We would always invite Brenton to come along for a walk but he was happy to stay home on his computer after a hard days work! His "time out" After all our walks and talks, their big day has finally come! Brenton has many talents and skills, but when anything goes wrong with the TV/DVD or computer we all call Brenton, He's our IT man!! Welcome to the family Brenton and Jole enjoy your next journey together!! I would like every one to top up their glasses and be up standing to make a toast to the Bride and Groom. Cheers.
