I appreciate your patience with me over the years as you tried to explain things to me and I tried to understand!! I will really miss your calming steady presence in the Business Office no matter how busy or stressful it could be at times. Keep dancing, keep smiling, and most of all keep your same number so we can call you for help, whoops, I mean to invite you to have burgers with us! Love, Terri | Teresa. I have so enjoyed spending years of days and late nights with you. You are such a nice and FUNNY person. I'm sad to see you go, especially since I finally understand your special dialect of Filipenglish. I wish you every bit of happiness in retirement. Lastly, don't forget ... "presentation is everything". With much love, Lori

18: There are a lot of things I miss since retiring in 2008 and now the rest of the Business Office is gonna miss them too! You were/are always good about asking after my brother and his baseball career, my mother, my grandmother and not to forget my Auntie! I'll miss ...your giggles!...lumpia...long life noodles...hearing the latest about Castro or Christopher...knowing what’s happening at the Pilipino Hall...getting together for a burger (will have to continue to do that!)...getting together with Suzie one last time for Christmas..shopping for Weekenders...your dancing (and now you will have more time for that!)...getting together for lunch when Claudia schedules a hair appointment (we add another retiree to the table!)...of course there is/was the College Bank, accounts payable, and taking over the Bookstore (did you take over from me? after Michael?)...building 100 being “skunked out” ...the cave under the library...moving across the street...all the staff and student help that worked in the Business Office...and sadly, all the Business Office staff who have died over the years. | Retirement!! Hurrah!! (Or at least that is how I felt!) | Keep in touch Teresa and enjoy your retirement! Kathy Carter...Kathy...KC...KjC...Carterbeans...Carter...Beans
20: Teresa, thank you for your warm disposition, your lovely smile and, of course, your lumpia! I love your lumpia! Tatiana | Dear Teresa, Congrats on your retirement. I hope you will still have lunch with me at Panda. Love, Claudia | Teresa, I'm so glad to be able to welcome you to the happy world of retirement!! It's great! I had forgotten what the real world was like. Now you and Castro can plan trips any time you'd like....even the summer months!! And the term "check-run day," takes on a whole new meaning. Now it will mean "Yay, my PERS deposit arrived!!" | Did I ever tell you? ... I used to have a re-occurring dream/nightmare, and you were in it with me. I remember being in our offices in the 100 bldg. You and I told Tess to go home because it was way past 5 p.m. and we would complete this special project for her. When she finally left the offices, we turned to each other and tried to decide how we were going to get a $100 check issued to every single person in California by morning! At this point, I usually woke up to thinking about using the telephone book to get started, before realizing it was a nightmare. Most importantly, I must have known you would be the one to stay, smiling all the time, until the job was done. You always did. Nothing rattled you. It was a pleasure to work with you and I feel lucky to count you as a friend. Best wishes for a great retirement, love, bg
