Create your personalized custom photo calendar with Mixbook

Mixbook offers two formats and three sizes for custom calendars: 12 x 12” square, 11 x 8.5” landscape, and 14 x 11” landscape. Size options vary with the different design themes. Choose the size and format before starting your calendar project, and you may also select a different size (when available) before ordering. 

Yes! Mixbook has hundreds of professionally designed calendar themes, all 100% customizable. Themes are available in a wide variety of color schemes and design aesthetics, such as rustic, vintage, botanical, classic, simple, and modern. Browse the themes and you’re sure to find one that suits your style.

Start your calendar project and it will launch in Mixbook Studio™. Here, locate the “Photos” panel on the left. There are several ways to add photos to the project:

• Drag and drop photo files into the panel from your computer or device
• Add photos from your phone by scanning a QR code (or use the free Mixbook app for iOS)
• Add photos previously uploaded to your Mixbook account
• Add photos from Google Photos, Facebook, or SmugMug

Once your photos are uploaded, you can drag and drop them into the photo frames throughout your calendar theme. Or, use Auto-Create, a tool that instantly places photos in the calendar with just a click. (Tip: You can reposition photos after using Auto-Create, or at any time.)

It’s up to you! Click the “Manage events” button above your calendar in Mixbook Studio™. Here, find a comprehensive list of public holidays. Click the circle next to any holidays that you wish to show in your calendar. 

Use the “My events” tab to add your own events, such as birthdays, school and work events, personal events, and any other reminders of your choice. 

Yes, use the “Manage events” button and “My events” tab to add birthdays and other personal reminders to the date boxes on your calendar. You can also add custom text to any date boxes using the “Text” panel, and even drag photos and stickers onto date boxes as well. 

Yes—you can choose any month of the year to be the starting month for your custom photo calendar. The calendar will always include 12 months, no matter which starting month you choose. Select the starting month when you launch your new calendar project.

Yes, you can create a custom calendar on your smartphone! If you have an iOS device, download the free Mixbook app and enjoy the full Mixbook Studio™ in your pocket. Android users can navigate to the Mixbook mobile site with a web browser.

You can also move seamlessly between devices because Mixbook projects auto-save to your account. Design your calendar on your phone while out and about, and on your computer or tablet at home.

Absolutely! You can order as many copies of your calendar as you want. You can also invite friends and family to order their own copies—just click the “Share” button.

Delivery date estimates (which include production times of 1-2 business days) vary by location and your choice of shipping option. For all Mixbook projects, we recommend using .JPG/.JPEG formats with a minimum 300 DPI. Other options include .HEIC (common for iPhone photos), and .PNG, which might upload more slowly due to larger file sizes. 

Basic photo editing tools are available in Mixbook Studio™, but for the best results, we recommend making any necessary edits or color corrections before uploading.
