Denney In 1954, Mary Vehslage, a community volunteer, led the first group of children to camp on the land that is now Happy Hollow. Since then, more than 30,000 economically disadvantaged and special needs children have experienced the fun and adventure of Happy Hollow Children's Camp.

5: In 1953, construction of the 16-acre lake began with a grant from Lilly Endowment. Campers now enjoy fishing, swimming, canoeing and kayaking on Lilly Lake.
