3: This is Aniya. Shes an African slave in the year 1827. She has a sister named Asia. She lived in Africa with her mother, father, sister Asia, and brother Nahuel. Then one day she went home and found that there was no one there. Then that minute she could not see anything and the next thing she new was there was some thing on her head and someone had her hands behind her back tied together. 6: 2/5/63 Dear Diary, I don"t know where I am. I am rocking side to side but i can not see. there is something over my eyes and something in my mouth. I don't know what it is. I am scared. Let me tell you what happened. | Today I was in the field with Nahuel and Asia. We were harvesting crops. Then there was something over my head and something in my mouth I could here Nahuel and Asia screaming," come back" but i didn't know where I was going then I heard them again but this time they were calling for momma. "MOMMA!!!!!." I heard them scream i was so scared. What is happinng? I wanted to scream to Aliyzia across the street but I couldn't there was something in my mouth. HELP!!!!!!!!
7: 2/7/63 Dear Diary, I am on a boat. I don't know where i am going but i know i am on a boat. I found this out from my sell mate. Her name is Maria. She is about my age. She lives in the same village. 2/8/63 Dear Diary, We are on land! I think we are in a colony because there are people speaking a different tounge and they are wearing fancy clothes. I think they are gentleman. I can tell by the lace on their clothes. I really want to go home. I don't see mother or any of my family. I hope I will go home soon. 2/9/63 Dear Diary, I have a owner? I am a person not a lama or an elephant like Nina. I am like a creature ordered around by mankind. I have to go work.
8: 2/10/63 Dear Diary, I am a slave I think. Well, that is what they keep calling me. I can not find mother or father anywhere. I cant find Nahuel and Asia anywhere either. I wish I was back in Africa with everyone. Okay, so yesterday I had to work. I did not pick up the tobacco I cut he whipped me. I really want to go back. 2/11/63 Dear Diary, I need help. There are bruises up and down my body. They are probly from the whip and some from the man himself. I want to go home to Africa. 2/12/63 Dear Diary, I am hurting so much but he won't help me. I'm scared that this could be my last thing I write.

10: Aniya Khunu died by the cause of abuse. She was killed because of the whipping of her owner. She had losed a lot of blood and died by lack of blood. She will be dearly missed. | Aniya Khunu was a fictional character. All rights reserved

12: Slaves Slaves were mistreated back then. They were treated life animals. When the made a mistake there owners would whip them. Some were beaten to death just like Aniya. They | were all innacinte people forced to work againist there own will. They were often thought of as things because they could be sold and bought. Purchased and traded to others. They were treated cruelly. They were captured in their land and taken away to work with no mercy.
