FC: Home Sweet Home | A | A look at Alaska and Louisiana
Home is where you hang your hat. | From the Bayou to the Great White North. | This Mixbook is a comparative look at what life is like in Alaska versus Louisiana. I have used mainly my own photos, as well as some friends' photos in the creation of this book. KLBuley
Brrrr! | My driveway | Snowfall | Alaska's temperature ranges anywhere from -60 degrees to 90 degrees. That's 140 degrees difference!
Enjoy while you can. | Warm is relative | Since we spend the winter cooped up indoors, we break out the shorts and tshirts when its 50 degrees outside. Soaking up the sun while it's here. | Alaska
With more than 400 festivals each year, these guys know how to have a good time!
Louisiana | Louisiana is all about fun in the sun. Swimming, baseball, boating, and crawfish boils keep my friends busy.
Summers mean FISHING, even if it's cold in July.!!
 July | Alaska
Fishing in "Sportsman's Paradise" is hotter, and in the water lurks a different kind of danger.
 Dress in Layers | Alaska
Winter seems to last all year. | Make the best of it.
Layer on the Sunscreen | Louisiana
Summer seems to last all year. | Make the best of it.
Most years Alaskans will experience ash fall in the summer, and days without sun in the winter. But we stay busy with Ice Art, and a fast-&-furious football season.
Dog Mushing in the winter provides great entertainment. | Alaska
Hot, Hot, Hot Besides the heat, there's Mardi Gras, Lake Bashes, rare & random snowfall, bass fishing, deer hunting, and TAILGAITING! Geaux Tigers!
A party in a sack. Crawfish in a large pot with corn on the cob, potatoes, and seasoning in boiling water. | Louisiana
There is a world of difference between AK and LA, but there's a lot the same. The sun rises, the sun sets. It can be stupid hot (LA) or stupid cold (AK). Either way, you can make friends, create family, and make WONDERFUL memories.
