S: Jamie Lynn Davis

FC: Jamie Lynn Davis Class of 2010

My name is Jamie. I am 18 years old from Fairfield, Ohio. I am the middle child between two boys. Family and friends mean the world to me. I attend Lindenwald Baptist Church where I was saved at the age of 10. I surrendered my life into full-time ministry at the age of 15 at a summer church camp. My favorite colors are orange, pink, and green. I love to watch sports, read, and sing. I'm a pretty simple person.

These are my parents Lois and James. They met at Miami University where they both attended school. They got married and had three children. They are still married and have been for almost 22 years. | I love the fact the my parents are still married. They give me a great example of how a marriage should work. My mother is saved like me but my father is Catholic.

These are my two brothers. Jonathon is 20 and a sophomore at Ohio State University. Jordan is 12 and in the seventh grade. Growing up with an older brother was a challenge. I was always the one getting picked on. However, we've now matured substantially and are able to have wonderful sibling time without any fighting. My little brother and I have a much greater age difference. We haven't been able to grow up together as much as me and Jonathon but we still have a great relationship.

 My Friends

These are some of my friends. I love spending time with them. The majority of my friends are from my church because I would rather surround myself with Christian people who are a good influence on me.

This is my old youth pastor Nick and his wife Tara. They were my youth leaders for 5 of my 6 years in the youth group. They have been such an inspiration to me. I grew very close to both of these wonderful people and was devastated when they moved back to Colorado even though I knew God was going to use them to do tremendous things. I considered the Olson's part of my family. I have them to thank for my strong Christian faith and know that they are proud of who I have become.

This is my current youth pastor Tyler and his wife Misty. Tyler and Misty have been members of my church since I was in the fourth grade. Misty was my first teacher I had at the church and they also served as teen counselors for the youth group. So when the decision was made that Tyler was taking over for Nick, I was glad because I already was close to these people. Since then, I have grown much closer to Misty and Tyler too. They have continued to help me grow spiritually and given me the tools I need to know in my Christian walk. I love them and thank them for all they have done for me.

E.R. Student Ministries | Cure. Connect. Continue.

This is my youth group, E.R. Student Ministries. We are a pretty close-knit group. We attend two camps a year, one in the summer and the other in the winter. I have been in the youth group all the way through, from seventh grade to twelfth. These people have helped shape the person I am today.

These are the youth counselors at my church. They have been there for me every step of the way. They have been my source of encouragement, support, love, and advice. The bible says for young people to seek the advice of their elders. My counselors each have a tremendous testimony and I have learned so much from them. They have taught me in Sunday School on various topics and have taken steps to get close to me. I'm going to miss them so much while at college but I know that they are all proud of me and will keep in touch. I love them a lot.

I was in showchoir from seventh grade until eleventh grade. I didn't do it my senior year because of finances, peoples' behavior, and time commitments.

I really enjoyed being on stage for showchoir. I made some great friends and grew as a person. I miss performing but I know that choosing to not be in the group this year was the right decision.

 Football Training | 9th-12th grade

I work one-on-one with the district athletic trainer and varsity football team. | I fix helmets, shoulder pads, pants, and cleats. | I clean up blood and cuts, give ice for injuries, and tape injuries. | I fill all the water bottles, take water out for timeouts, and water for practice.

War Movie Night: R2D2 & C3PO | Famous Couples Night: Mickey & Minnie Mouse | Red Carpet Night: Army women with a coffin. "There's no better way to honor a fallen soldier than with a red carpet"

In my youth group we do a three month long challenge called the "Wicked Awesome Challenge". There are themed nights that we are supposed to dress up for. | These pictures are of my costumes that were all handmade by my mother and me (with the exception of the army women and firewomen). | Nemesis Night: Shaving Cream & Razor [because we hate shaving] | Western Night: Indians | Hero Night: Firewomen | Wicked Awesome Challenge

This book is a little about me. I hope that it shows you about me and who I am. I love Anderson University and I hope you consider me for this scholarship.
