1: John Wesley Hardin was an outlaw at an early age. His first attempted murder was of a schoolmate with a knife when he was 14 years old.

2: Hardin was at one point a cowboy on the Chisholm Trail in 1871. During that time he killed 7 people.

3: Hardin was rumored to be so mean he once shot a man for snoring.

4: In 1874, Hardin killed the deputy sheriff of Brown County.

5: In 1878, Hardin was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the deputy's murder

6: Hardin also killed Jack Helm, A former state police captain who led anti-Jim Taylor marches. Hardin was a fan of Jim Taylor.

7: After the Chisholm Trail, Hardin settled down, got married, and had three kids.Then soon resumed his murder spree, killing four people in a row.

8: While Hardin was in jail, he studied law and was intending to resurrect himself and become a lawyer as well as a better man.

9: On August 19th, 1985 Hardin was assassinated. He took a bullet to the head from constable John Selman after the two exchanged heated words.
