1: Very few women in the 1800's were outlaws. One of those few is the courageous Belle Starr.

2: Belle Starr was a crazy, adventurous woman who took on the hard work of being an outlaw.

3: Belle knew a group of people including Cole Younger and Jesse James, who were outlaws. Jesse and Cole influenced Belle to join them.

4: Belle married outlaw James Reed and had their daughter Pearl.

5: James and Belle ran away to Texas after James got in trouble with the law.

6: Belle helped with her husbands robbery.

7: Belle spent the robbed money drinking, gambling and shooting her gun for no reason. She got the reputation, "pistol-weilding outlaw".

8: James was shot for a robbery in 1874. After he died Belle went into outlawary.

9: Belle Starr married Samuel Starr, part of the Starr Clan in 1800

10: Belle and Samuel continued getting in trouble with the law, but managed not to get caught.

11: In 1886 Samuel was killed by a long time family nemisis. Belle continued outlawary.

12: Belle Starr's children also went into outlawary like their parents.

13: Belle Starr lived a very exciting and dangerous life. Belle's life was made into a movie in 1944.
