FC: The Day At The Park | Written and illustrated by: Kimberly Mosier

One beautiful day a girl named Anna noticed that she had nothing to do the next day, so she called up a friend to see if she could go to the park tomorrow to hang out. Her friend, Kaitlyn, had to ask her mother and father first and they responded with a yes. After that her parents said she was allowed to go. The rest of the day Anna had lots of places to go to.

The next day, she had her mother take her to Kaitlyn's house so they could go to the park together. Kaitlyn lived really close to the park that they just had to walk to get there. At the park, there was only three other people there a boy from school named Fred and two other boys not from around here. The girls had been very rude to Anna and Kaitlyn, they would stare at them while they were on the swing-set. So they figured they wanted on the swings so they moved to the merry-go-round.

Next the boys went to the swing-set but still glared at them. They talked to each other about what they were doing and they both had noticed the boys were still glaring at them. Anna and Kaitlyn went over to talk to them to see what there problem was. They said that there was no problem so Anna and Kaitlyn went back to the merry-go-round.

After a while Anna heard them giggling and talking about Kaitlyn so, they went over to the boys again. They asked what was so amusing about Kaitlyn and their response was “we were not talking about her. We were simply talking about what happened to my mother last night”. Anna and Kaitlyn knew that wasn't true, so they just left the boys alone and tried to enjoy the rest of their day.

After that they went over to Fred to see how he was. Fred told Anna and Kaitlyn that they were talking about them. “They said that you two looked so spoiled and like all popular and stuff like that,” Kaitlyn agreed to what Fred told them. Anna and Kaitlyn had stayed with Fred for a while on the monkey-bars.

Afterwards Fred heard one of the boys say that Kaitlyn was bratty and got whatever she wanted. Fred told Anna and Anna told Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn said that she wanted to go talk to the boys and tell them to stop being rude. On her way over Fred caught up to her to stop her from going crazy on those boys. He had said that he would talk to them so Kaitlyn just stayed where she was at and Fred went up to the boys. When Fred got up to them Anna and Kaitlyn heard them crying about how they were just so bothered by what Anna and Kaitlyn looked like. They said that they look like they are spoiled and got whatever they want.

After Fred was done talking with those boys he went back over to Anna and Kaitlyn. He said that the boys were sorry and that they had asked if they could make-up with them by being friends. Anna and Kaitlyn went away from Fred for a minute to talk about being friends with them and to see if it was all right. After they were done they went back over to Fred to tell them what they thought. They told Fred that they would be friends with them. So, Fred took them over to the boys to accept the opinion from them. The boys asked Anna and Kaitlyn if they were there to say they were allowed to be friends with them. They told them that they were and they also asked them if they could play with them the rest of the afternoon until they had to go home. The boys excepted and joined with Anna, Kaitlyn and Fred then started to play together.

When it started to get dark the boys said they had to go because their moms said they had to be home before it got completely dark. Anna and Kaitlyn agreed with them and asked each other if they could do this again another time. They said sure and said bye see you later and left. The next weekend the girls, Anna and Kaitlyn went to the park again. They tried to spend every weekend with each other, whether if they had something going on or not. So the boys and girls became best friends forever and never judged another person again.
