BC: The End

FC: Austin Hilton Period 1 | My Digital Scrapbook

I did my scrapbook on the evolution of machining. I chose this topic because my Father is a machinist. I look up to him because he started his own business and became very successful.

CNC machining began in 1952 when John Parsons invented the NC (numeric control) milling machine.

 Haas CNC milling machine

Since then CNC machines have become more and more advanced. Computerized lathes and milling machines were being put out on the market yearly.

 Mazak CNC lathe

Even still, standard, hand-maneuverable machines are being used. Many small owned machine shops still use these machines.

 Old machine from the 1960's

Mazak Quick turn 8 CNC lathe

Since the 1950's and 60's machining has come a great way. This does not matter because they are still used for the same purpose, to make parts for specific needs.

A family is pieced together with hope and faith. A family is quilted and bound with love and grace.
