23: Don, Eldon, Jason, Chad, Caleb & Gabe fishing in Pierre, South Dakota | ~Your Uncle Ken had his bachelor party the night before our wedding (never do that!) and after a night of fun filled stuff Uncle Ken and his friends thought it would be smart to go in the hills, the truck they were in went off the road and they walked to a cabin and broke in so they could try to call and get warm. The phone didn’t work at first but early in the morning when they tried it again it did and Uncle Ken called your dad right away to see if he could come and find him and take him home. Your Uncle Ken was describing approximately where they were and your dad knew right away where they were and the cabin Uncle Ken was in, your dad drove to the cabin and picked up the guys and saved the wedding day! He really did and every year on our anniversary we always talk about how Eldon found him and knew exactly where he was. ~On the night of our wedding after the service when we were getting ready to go on the wedding car chase your mom (yes your mom) walked up to your Uncle Ken and put a handful of rice down his pants!!!!!!!!! ~Jen’s memory, Aunt Gail would always make us root beer floats and popcorn when we would watch movies. She always had good food for us to eat. She sat in the kitchen with Jen when the movie ‘Never Ending Story’ was on because Jen was scared of the movie! ~Jen remembers going to Mt Rushmore with Aunt Gail and Mindy on the 4th of July. ~ When April biffed it on the bike and skinned her knee real bad Uncle Eldon took her inside and cleaned her knee all up and bandaged it. ~Your dad bought a 4 wheel drive scout that he took Uncle Ken 4 wheeling and scarred the crap out of Uncle Ken when Uncle Ken was a little guy ~All of us remember whenever we were there in Custer how warm and welcoming your mom and dad were and how there was always good food and good times when we were there. | Ken & Kathy, April & Jennafer | Gail & Dave

29: Dear Gail and Eldon, Congratulations on forty years of marriage. That's an accomplishment! We are fortunate say that of those forty years, we have thirty plus years of many special memories of a lasting friendship with you. Remember Christmas with our families and the Black's? I know our kids still have very fond memories of those times and probably have many stories to tell too. We spent many hours together at birthday parties (young and old),baptisms, confirmations, graduations and weddings. Such fond memories. But, perhaps the best times were evenings or afternoons when we would enjoy spending time together with talk, laughter and sometimes even tears.. Those times continue and so does our friendship. God bless you both, Chuck and Kaona | Chuck & Kaona Hazlett | Godparents | 1982 | 1995

From then on, the Knudsons, Hazletts and Blacks shared countlessfamily and Christmas celebrations. During those times, you became familyfor us: late night shopping, hunting camps, track meets, and too manybuilding projects for Black Elk Construction. You have been the best offriends, neighbors, and mentors for our family. We are so thankful to havehad you in our lives. We Love You!Craig and Becky | Craig and Becky Black | 1995 | 1991

We volunteered to have them all here and of course Michelle and Tania weren't that old either.SOOO we had all of them sleep in various places throughout the house. Keep in mind we did not have the music room, the upstairs was not done like it is now with a bathroom, big middle family room or thecompletely ffnished bedrooms upstairs, but we had all of you everywhere and had fun with all of you...
