I have the privilege of drawing upon almost 40 years of fond memories of you that include... The best sleepovers a little girl could attend at your house in Ridgewood...and you know my favorite part was having you paint my finger nails red. The most delightful dinners consisting of artichokes and chocolate milk shakes, despite the "outcome" I had a great time. The trip we took to Brigantine with Aunt Ruth and Mike...the flies biting, and the haunted house seemed scary, but we had lots of laughs nonetheless. The funny faces you taught me how to make. The speed with which you almost literally flew from the desk to the pool to save that little girls who had fallen into the deep was like watching a super hero! The countless August birthday parties and Christmas dinners, in addition to a super-baby are a most gracious hostess. Your presence at the most important times in the life of a family...the births, the weddings, and even the funerals...means so much to me. ...I love you and wish you the best birthday, and I hope to have many more memories to add to this 20 years from now. Time and Lily also wish you a glorious day! Much love, Jen

Happy Birthday! -The Conways

Dear Debbie, Sixty years old! How did this happen? Some days I feel like we're still kids on Hiawatha Blvd. pleading to be allowed out on a week night or after midnight when the movie isn't over until 11:45. Ahhh, good times! It seems like we've always been more than sisters. Webster's defines sister as "a girl/woman having the same parents as another" and defines friend as "someone whom one knows and likes." Using those definitions I'd say we are sisters who are friends. I cannot imagine my life without you in it. Life has dealt us the usual amount of good times (weddings, births, holidays, etc.) and bad times (divorce, deaths, fire, etc.) but we've gotten through it all because we had each other. The memories seem too numerous to mention but way too important to ever forget. So, having been where you are, I have a couple of words of wisdom...fight getting old with everything you've got and keep coloring your hair! Remember age is only a number. I hope your day is happy. Remember how much you're loved! Love, Roo

Dear Debbie, Happy Birthday. Now you are sixty. Being sixty really isn't so bad. I know you don't like this idea, but think of all the things you have accomplished in your life so far. As children we had loving parents and a good childhood. I remember a couple of things you did as a little girl. One day when Mom was sick and Dad was taking care of us. You were in your baby seat, Dad had to leave the kitchen for some reason and you decided to paint the kitchen with butter. Another time when we were on vacation in New Hampshire and you fell down the steps at the restaurant and cracked your head open. Just remember you have lots of living ahead of you. Some day there will be grandchildren and believe me they are the best. Ruth, you and I have also made many memories together. Look back and remember all the good times. Congratulations. Have a great birthday. I love you, Nancy

Happy 60th Birthday Dear Mom, What can I say, I don't think I would be where I am today if it weren't for you in my life. You have always been a shoulder to learn on whether times were good or bad. When things don't happen as we planned, you have taught me to make the best out of it because, "we are making memories!" The memories we have are countless, and I can't wait to make more. You are the first person I want to call when I have good news or bad, even just to gossip! I love you more than words could even express and I am so proud to be able to call you not only my mom, but also my friend. You will always have a special place in my heart, and are an amazing role model. I will always look up to you. Kyle, too, wishes you an amazing birthday and thanks you for being such a great mother-in-law. With all my love always, Emilie P.s. You don't look a day over 50!

Dear Mom, "For everyone of us that succeeds , it's because there's somebody there to show you the way out." (Oprah) My life has been so beautiful, and I owe that to you and daddy. I don't know many children who can call their mother their best friend, or a friend at all. I not only can call you my best friend but also a wonderful mother. I hope that in the years to come I can become half as good of wife, friend, and mother that you are. Thank you for being you and allowing me to make my own mistakes and being the shoulder to cry on or the open arms to hug. Thank you for being my mother. I don't want you to think of today as a number, but think of how many lives you have touched and how love you are. Love forever, Sarah Happy Birthday

"No man succeeds without a good woman behind him... | Happy Birthday to my partner in life and my best friend. I can look back at the time we have spent together and only imagine the time we will spend together. I can remember all our experiences with dating, marriage, raising children and all the ups and downs of life in between and all we have learned through the years. These experiences have made our bond stronger and my loves grows and grows with each passing year. You are still the woman of my dreams and growing old with you is still my favorite thing to do. I don't always listen to complete things the way you like but in trying you have made me a better person. Our children have grown up to be fine adults in a tough world and look up to you for moral support and advice in life which made me love you all the more. Even though this birthday does exist they still haven't found the cure for the common birthday. Love, Dave
