3: Egypt is located in the continent of Africa in the Northeast and it borders Palestine, Israel, Libya, and Sudan. Its capital is Cairo.

4: Facts and Statistics | Egypt doesn't get much rainfall accept in the winter months. It averages about 2 to 5 mm of rain per year. In the summer temperatures average between 80 and 90 degrees but have gotten up to 109 on the Red Sea Coast. In the winter months, temperatures average between 55 and 70 degrees.

5: According to a survey conducted in 2004, Egypt's population is estimated to be around 76,117,421. Their ethnic makeup is Eastern Hamitic stock, Greek, Nubian, Armenian, and other European people. 94% of Egyptians are Muslims and about 6% of them are Coptic Cristian.

6: Language and Culture and Society | The official language in Egypt is Arabic. During the Egyptian Holy Month of Ramadan, Egyptians have to fast from dusk to dawn and are only permitted to work six hours a day. In Egypt, respect and esteem are both a right and an obligation.

9: In Egypt, the customary greeting is just a handshake. Once a friendly relationship is formed, it is a custom to kiss on the cheek if you are of the same sex. If you're invited to dinner, it is considered polite to bring the host chocolates, pastries, or sweets. If you're giving a gift and it is heavy, you must always give it with your right hand or with both hands. You also must eat dinner with your right hand, and it's considered a compliment to take seconds.

10: Business Etiquette and Protocol | In business in Egypt, appointments are required and should be made in advance. In Egypt, the social side of business is the most important. Business also moves very slow there. If you want to make a good impression on the person you're interviewing for, you should dress formally. Business cards are ritually given at business interviews.
