2: Haiku a Japanese poem composed of three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables. Some reflect on the aspect of nature and creates images ex. As the wind does blow Across the trees, I see the Buds blooming in May | Repetition Where a specific word, phrase, or structure is repeated several times. ex.. 4: Ode to the West Wind Percy Bysshe Shelley O WILD West Wind, thou breath of Autumn's being Thou from whose unseen presence the leaves dead Are driven like ghosts from an enchanter fleeing, Yellow, and black, and pale, and hectic red, Pestilence-stricken multitudes! 5: T: it's about the earth and the seasons P: the author is talking about the forest and how it can just die away. C: personification line 1 and line 8. "Each like a corpse within it's grave" is a simile. The wind in symbolism because it's symbolizing the bad times in life. And how it comes and goes. A: the author feels strongly about the effects of nature. Also he is saying that nature can be ruined by the easiest things. | S: In the first half he was talking positively about nature and in the middle to second half he gets negative. 6: There's another world wonder? With all the wonders on the world it comes down to seven, but there is another one. It lives beneath the equator in the icy continent of Antarctica. The penguin is the 8th wonder of the world. With 17 types of these majestic animals you have a variety of looks. Day by day they slide on there blubber filled body and slide down a ice hill to get their daily meal. When the eggs of the penguins are laid,the mother goes on a fishing trip, while the dad stays to take care of the eggs. When the eggs are hatched, a baby penguin is born.
7: Ode to Vietnam The beautiful silk ao dais and the lovely straw hats I miss your big blue skies When I'm there I hope for lively chats Vietnam, how I miss you so, With your amazing language sounds With the spring rolls and pho Vietnam worships near shrine grounds And yours temperatures hot where the water buffalo roam But you're always in my thoughts The country I call home.
