My Camping Journal | Friday, June 15, 2012 when we got to our camp site, the first thing we did was set up. That was fun. After that we went fishing. We caught so many fish. When we got back from fishing, we cooked the fish, they were very good. We decided to save all the rest of the fun for the rest of the days, so we just sat back and told stories and watched all the wildlife come by. When it started to get dark we decided to have a grill out. The food was amazingly good. We had hot dogs, and hamburgers. Also i took the fish and made some batter and made some fresh fish. After eating supper we ate some marshmallows and made hot chocolate. And that ended our first day.
Saturday, June 16, 2012 | Today we decided to go Kayaking down the Colorado river, that was fun! except when we got to this huge water fall, that's where it got scary. We didn't want to go over because we were afraid we would get hurt. But then out of the blue Ms. Stanley came down the rapids, and cruised over the waterfall. We all thought that was cool. So we told ourselves if Ms. Stanley can do it we can do it. So we did. It was the coolest thing ever. The water was just soaking you, and when you hit the bottom the kayak goes all the way under. When everyone got down Ms. Stanley was gone.
Sunday, June 17, 2012 | Today we decided to go tubing down the river. Which was a bad idea, because we took the wrong turn and went down all the rapids. And remember that water fall, yeah we went over it with tubes. It was the scariest thing ever. But it was also very cool. When we went over we realized our tubes did not have handles so we all fell off going over. To me it was great, everyone else was freaking out.
Monday, June 18, 2012 | Today, we went hiking. it was great. Half way up he found a picnic bench and a grill. So we decided to eat so fish. It was so yummy. It made my belly feel so good. After hiking we went out to eat at the Blue 67. I had the Atlantic Salmon, it was so good. After that we went back to our campsite were we met a bear. It was digging in our coolers. So my dad grabbed that pepper spray and sprayed it and it ran away. It was pretty neat. It was my first grizzly bear that I saw. But it was also kinda of scary, knowing that they could kill us.
Tuesday, June 19, 2012 | Today, was our last day so we decided to go out and go fishing again for the last time. we thought we would take some home with us to show the people back home how good the fish is. While we were out fishing we ran into an Indian tribe. We became friends with us and they gave us their latest kill, an elk. It was the coolest thing ever. So know we can take fish and elk home, best camping trip ever. Know it is getting dark going to go to bed, because we have a big day tomorrow.
Last Day, June, 20, 2012 | Today is the day we leave. Its sad leaving this place. But we had great fun here and I will never forget it. Especially seeing Ms. Stanley going down a water fall in a kayak, man that was great. Now all we have to do is pack up and leave. Everyone here is upset about but hopefully we can come back again. If we do maybe will come for a hunting trip so we can kill our own elk and not take from the Indians. I wonder what they are eating right now? Well anyways about to leave, thanks for all the great memories Colorado.
