“Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.” (Gail Devers). Have you ever had a dream, a set goal for yourself in life? Imagine the life of a person whose dreams were put on halt, imagine you could not fulfill your dreams because you weren’t considered an American. The Dream Act should be passed to ensure that illegal immigrants are able to obtain the tantamount of education as other American students.

a | a bumpy bus ride | The intent of the Dream Act is to provide legal status and educational opportunity to those whom entered the United States as a minor. The passing of this bill would bring to light a passage for students to receive the equivalent education, of those whom are American citizens. We are the first nation to be founded for the sake of an idea, the idea that each of us deserves the chance to shape our own destiny (Fixing). However, the Supreme Court only allows illegal immigrants free education from kindergarten through high school; neither congress nor the courts have figured out what to do with the estimated 65,000 undocumented immigrant students whom graduate from high school each year once they decide to attend college (Should).

“Knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practice” (Anton Chekhov). The hard work and dedication that these students put into their studies achieve them nothing accept disappointment and calamity at the end of the day, when they comprehend the idea that they are not to advance any further.

The Hike | "When Felipe Matos applied to Duke, he was a top-ranked student in Florida's community school system. He was admitted to the university and a number of other top schools, but as an undocumented student without access to government-based financial acid he was unable to attend. (illegal) Children should not be punished for mistakes their parents made by denying them the right to a higher education and the chance at a future. A child whom arrived in the U.S as a baby or minor did not do so by choice and denying them the chance that every American Kid gets isn't just. Everybody deserves the chance to meet their goals back and after all we are the future of America. | Help pave the way

Help pave the way to a brighter future. | They're the | Future

Some people believe that allowing illegal students the right to the same education as their kids is taking away from the tax payer's money. Also many have a misconstrued idea on what the Dream Act really is and what rights it would provide illegal immigrants with.

Many people in the U>S believe that in passing the Dream Act it would allow for illegal students to better them self and have a chance at a real future. People also believe that by providing illegals with educational rights will lead to them contributing to the economy therefore helping the U.S. | Don't blame the one that has no control.

The Dream Act is only once piece to the immigration puzzle. Everyone deserves the same chance at life and the dream at will provide this. All men are created equal, it is only men themselves who place themselves above equality. David Allan Coe
