2: Fan girls were popular back in the day. Using their mysterious appeal they got many men and women to watch the performances.
3: Actresses played a role in movies and female singers have shown up more and more. Many women have come a long way from being just a homemaker with no mark in the world
4: Performers were showing up everywhere. Music was a big pass time for many people throughout the 20-30s
5: Jazz artists hit the scene with many new sounds of music. They create a new feeling and put their heart and soul into the music they create.
7: There is always entertainment in Chicago. With the fair opening in 1924 and all the theaters to visit to watch shows, how could there not be anything to do? Many huge buildings were built and it opened the economy for business
9: Many styles came out in the nineteen 20s and 30s From short straight bobs to short wavy hair. Males suits were altered several times between the decades. They always seemed to have a hat on or with them though.
10: Diners and food pantries were created to help out families who wanted a good meal for a low price
11: many new kitchen supplies were invented that helped the American family.
13: Many different brand names came out during this era. Especially in Chicago. Like Baby Ruth new candy bar, and Heinz baby food as well as katchup.

15: Unemployment rate reached as high as 30%
16: about 1,000 homes loans were being replaced in foreclosure by banks everyday

18: current economic downturn In 2008, the stock market dropped 778 points. In 2009, home repossessions 3,957,643 homes. in 2010 the unemployment rate was 9.8% | Government response was to stimulate economy with a stimulus package.
20: Agricultural states went through tough times during the Dust Bowl. The farmers had a difficult time getting food and pay for their families. But new inventions like the tyne cultivator made the job a little easier.
21: Things weren't much better in the industrial states out east. There were the obvious problems with the stock market crash, and pretty soon the unemployment lines were more occupied than the positions in the offices.
22: We went to the fair and were in awh at what we saw. The Zeppelin , New cars, and the history of our town.
