1: Clara Barton was born in 1821, in Oxford, Massachusetts. She grew up to be a Civil War nurse and the founder of the American Red Cross.
2: Clara Barton had a good life when she was young all because of her family. She had four older siblings, two brothers and two sisters. Her mom's name was Sarah and her dad's name was Captain Stephen Barton. They all taught Clara very important skills like how to cook and clean. Her dad taught her about the battlefield, which came in handy when she grew up.
3: Clara Barton was busy in her middle years. She was a Civil War nurse and the founder of the American RedCross | Being a Civil War nurse was tough because she had to go out in the middle of war to save lives, but she was risking her own.
4: Clara Barton impacted the world because she saved many lives, founded a hospital, and taught children
5: Clara Barton was acknowledged for many of her accomplishments and awards. She founded the American Red Cross, became a teacher, founded a school, was a Civil War nurse, and pursued writing. She won two awards . One was an iron cross and the other was an award for the American Red Cross. Sadly, Clara Barton died at the age of 91 of natural causes at Glen Echo.
6: I found Clara Barton to be an inspiring person. She brought her own supplies like food and medicine to the battlefield to help her patients. Wherever she went, she made a positive influence upon the people she came across.
