1: The Star Theater was built in 1906, and after many dreadful years of reconstruction and vacancy it has been restored. It is now a dinner and a movie with a singing and dancing wait staff!
2: The Mark Twain Cave was discovered in the winter of 1819-1820 when a man named Jack Sims’ dog chased an animal into the amazing cave. The cave has received most of its recognition for Samuel Adams, who spent lots of time there. In the past the cave has been home to hiding Indians, and infamous Jesse James, slave escapee.
3: A mans dream became a reality when the Rockcliffe Mansion was built. Now, after being restored to it prior beauty, the Rockcliffe Mansion stands high upon the Knoll overlooking the Mississippi.
4: The former home of Samuel Clemens is now a museum open to the public, and has been since 1912. The house as scheduled for demolition in 1911, but it as saved by the Hannibal Commercial Club, and is now a big part of tourist attraction in Hannibal.
