FC: The Diary of a wimpy star!

I dedicate this to the sun because I am scared of him

Hello my name is Alowishus. I began my life as a ball of dust. I turn into a star when gravity pulls together gas and dust into a sphere. As I become denser I get hotter and the hydrogen changes into helium this is called nuclear fusion. It is said that the Maya's saw nebula without using a telescope.

The Main sequence star is the second and largest stage of my life cycle. When this stage is happening inside me hydrogen atoms are turning into helium atoms. The bigger I am during the main sequence stage the shorter amount of time I burn the smaller I am the longer. I am creating a lot of energy when this is happening.

This is the third stage of my life cycle the red giant phase. This is when I become a giant then a super giant. I am turning into a super giant because I used up all my hydrogen. This causes the center of me to start to shrink. I can be ten times bigger then the sun when I am a giant. When I am a super giant I can be hundred times bigger then the sun my diameter would be about 86,500,000 miles!

This is the end of my life I am a white Dwarf. I am now a leftover of a stars core. I now can no longer generate energy by fusing hydrogen and helium atom. White dwarfs comprise roughly 6% of all known stars in the solar neighborhood. I can still shine for billions of years before I cool completely. The unusual faintness of white dwarfs was first recognized in 1910 by Henry Norris Russell.
