FC: Adventures of Kayla | On behalf of Kayla Lee Storie -Knapp; from Pop-Pop, Mom-Mom, and Family.
HELLO AND WELCOME!!! This book was lovingly created on behalf of precious Kayla Lee Storie by Pop Pop and Mom Mom Knapp, Aunt Brittany Murtha-Knapp, and Uncle Bam! We were blessed to have our first Christmas with Kayla home (2011), and Kayla loved seeing the videos of her Mommy growing up; but she kept asking "Where's ME?" Well, here's "YOU" darling. This page is ORANGE, Kayla's favorite color, favorite butterfly, and favorite fruit!
My name is Kayla Lee Storie. I was born on March 23, 2009 in Alaska (near the North Pole!) I have had a very busy life since then! Mommy and Daddy are in the Army, so I'm a traveling girl! I was 3 months old when I first visited New Jersey! | I was the flower girl in a wedding! | First Halloween, Daddy's a cow; I'm a bunny!
I was a year old when Mommy went to Pakistan on a mission, and she sent me this picture!
The Army is very important in protecting us and our Country. That means that sometimes I don't see Mommy and Daddy for a long time and I'm sad. BUT, I know they'll be home soon, and I'm a lucky girl that they're doing such wonderful things for my future. You'll see that I have so many other family members who love me and take care of me when they're away. Mommy just came home from deployment in these pictures!
This is my Daddy, and my wonderful Step-Mom, Hayley. My parents are divorced, but they all get along just great!
Then came my 2nd Birthday! My Mommy was home! | When Mommy was in Pakistan, I moved to Seattle Washington with my Grandmom and Aunt Marinda (my Daddy's side of the family). I had fun and made a lot of new friends!
In May, 2011, I went on a looong ROAD TRIP with my Aunt Brittany, Mommy, and our snake, Lucy. We drove cross-country from Alaska to Seattle, then to New Jersey where Mom Mom & Pop Pop Knapp live! Mommy reminded me that when I was 2 months old, I flew to NJ with my Mommy and Daddy to meet my Mom Mom & Pop Pop and the rest of the family. I was very excited! | WIDE AWAKE........AND SLEEPY!
The country was beautiful! | Leaving Seattle.. | LUCY!
:) haha | RAINSTORM! Mommy & Aunt Brittany were soaked .. haha .. and nearly blew over! | I, on the other hand, was dry, and comfortable; and I had the whole backseat! | I started performing the "soulja boy" hahaha
This is a sign we passed. Look at all the states we drove through! | My Aunt Brittany taught me a lot of new games! Including, Mommy beat up the Moose! We all agreed that Starbuck's was the best!
"Are we there, yet??????!!! My butt hurts!" | I LEARNED MY ABC's and counting from 1-10!!!
WE MADE IT TO New Jersey! It's now June, 2011. I had just turned 2 on March 23, 2011. This was a visit where I accomplished many FIRST things as a big girl! I can't wait to share. | Pop Pop and Mom Mom took me out for the FIRST TIME on our boat; I had so much fun. This is the Delaware River.
:) | I was scared at first, but slowly got braver with playing in the big swimming pool. After two weeks, I was jumping off the diving board! I was swimming for the FIRST TIME!
I learned to run from my Aunt Brittany who runs all of the time! | Here I am stretching for the race! | Finish line and the winner is Kayla! My FIRST race! | I also learned how to pedal and ride my bike - woo hoo! FIRST time! | Memorial Day Parade! Mommy was on-stage!
We went to the Philadelphia Zoo! | My Hippo Hat! | Panning for gold!
We went to our property in Chenango County, New York. We had fun riding the quad, planting and mulching an Apple Tree, and toasting marshmallows! High-five, Pop Pop!
Peek-A-Boo! | From the mountains - to the beach! I love the New Jersey shore!
We finally had to leave Magnolia, New Jersey, as my Mommy was transferred from Fort Wainwright in Alaska, to Fort Stewart in Georgia. Mommy had to go back to work. So, we drove to Georgia and settled into a new routine, and I made a lot of new friends at my day care. My daycare was called "Heavenly Place Learning Center," and my best friends were: BriBri, Jakayla, Zaruiah, and my "boy friend" at home, was Frank. July, 2011 | I missed my cousin Emily in NJ; we didn't know it, but we were both butterflies for Halloween that year!
BEFORE I KNEW IT, WE FLEW BACK TO MOM MOM and POP POP's for CHRISTMAS! | I love my Barbie suitcase, and I'm now an expert traveler. Santa Claus came around on a firetruck on Christmas Eve, and he gave me a Barbie Doll! That's all I wanted! Mom Mom and Pop Pop gave me a guitar, and I became a very good guitar player and singer! I also made friends with the reindeer that were in the front yard!
These are all of my favorite pictures from Christmas, 2011.. Very Happy MEMORIES!
I love new dresses and I love my family!
I helped Mom Mom decorate the WHOLE TREE!
I had fun performing and opening presents; and I went shopping with Uncle ("Shuncle") Bam; and he promised to get my dream Barbie car when I turn 16!!
We had so many family celebrations! | These include my Aunt's, Uncle's, Cousin's, Great, and Great-Great Grandparents!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I had so much fun saying that! We saw fireworks at the Delaware River; then banged pots and pans at midnight. While we were waiting, I helped Pop Pop make some yummy fresh bread! TA- DAAAA!!!!
Final adventure in this story, was a visit to the New Jersey State Aquarium. My favorite was "Mighty Mike," the crocodile. I was so proud that I could say "Crocodile!" I also liked the sharks, and SANTA WAS THERE!
-Walking Chase-! ""Take Da Buds For A Walk? | Prayers, stories, and sweet dreams... Look for my next adventures as I turn 3! | Bath Time

I traveled this world as a very young girl sometimes with wonder and fear that I'd be safe; Yet, now I've learned, so comfortingly, that my family's love will always keep me so treasured, and in a warm and safe place.... I, and you, can dream or imagine anything coming true; remember - anything's possible!
