BC: Crazy Horse was a very important person.

FC: Crazy Horse | Crazy Horse was known for being a brave, strong warrior.

1: Chief Crazy Horse was a leader and warrior in the Great Sioux War of 1876.

2: People looked up to him because he rode closest to the Americans and had no fear.

3: He fought to prevent American encroachment on the Lakota lands.

4: He stole horses at the age of 12.

5: He save many, many lives.

6: Crazy Horse was the chief of the Lakota tribe. | Noticed as a "visionary leader"

7: He was the third person in his tribe to be named Crazy Horse. | He didn't allow any pictures taken of him, therefore all pictures are drawn, painted, or carved.

8: People carved his face in to a rock in the Black Hills in South Dakota. | People carved Crazy Horse's face in to a rock in the Black Hills in South Dakota.

9: The front statue is the finished product of the one carved into the rock.
