FC: Aunt Alexandra

About me? I guess this would be where I tell a little sob story of my background and then move on with the production...but no. Sadly, my life growing up was fairly plain. I grew up like any normal girl would, doted upon by mother, daddy's little girl, like I said, normal. I guess that is why my brother's little girl and I don't see things quiet the same. I try to give her a motherly figure and she doesn't want one. Maybe because she doesn't realize the importance. Maybe because she doesn't want one. I don't really know. But I came to help my brother and by god that is what I am going to do.

I never really got my brother's chosen life. Such a small town was too little for my personality I guess. That's not to say that I didn't try. I tried my best to understand why someone would let their little girl run around town in dirty overalls everyday and not even care in the slightest. Or how he let the children call him by his name. My brother was a confusing person. But he is very important to me.

Oh, my beautiful niece Scout. I don't understand why such a cute little girl insists on covering up in such unfeminine clothing. I'm afraid we don't get along much. And don't say it's because I don't try. It is so hard to see eye to eye with someone you don't understand. She doesn't understand me, I know, but I don't much understand her either. But she is so precious to me. I would do anything for that little girl.

Coming to Maycome county was one of the most wonderful things that has happened to me. I loved to see my nephew and my niece again after such a long while. Their laughter and smiles brighten my day. But, I must apply the firm hand that Attucus fails to.

My little niece helped me with my party. It warmed my heart to see her participating as well. Passing plates to all of the ladies, sitting politely, even wearing a dress! She will never truly know how grateful I am that she did this for me. Maybe we can get along after all...

I love the first dress I was able to get Scout into for her first day of school. It makes me think she might just turn out to be a lady yet.

One of the things I will forever cherish is the suitcase I came with. I will always remember packing it up with everything I thought I would need. It may seem odd to tresure this item, but when I look back to where I was when I was first packing it up and where I am now, I smile.

I never thought I would enjoy this place so much. I really feel at home here. | I love my family here and I plan on staying for a while | How happy everyone has made me and how much I have learned. | I hope my niece grows up into the lady I always knew she could be.
