FC: Lois Lowry By: Jummon Rahaman
1: Lois Ann Lowry was born on March 20, 1937 in Hawaii. At 11 she was baptized.
2: Lowry has a younger brother named Jon, and a older sister named Helen.
3: In 1956, on June 11, Lois and a man named Donald got married ans Lois was only 19. Then they decided to get a divorce in 1977.
4: Lowry had four children, two boys, Grey and Benjamin and two girls, Alix and Kristin.
5: In the 1970's, Lois begins to write books and several are in different languages such as Russian and Italian.
6: Lois begins school in New York and then traveled through out the world going to school.
7: Lois started college at Brown University in Rhode Island then finished at University of South Maine and got her bachelors degree.
8: After Lois's marriage when she was 40, she met a man named Martin and spent 30 happy years together traveling. Then Martin died in the Spring of 2011.

10: Lois started writing books in the 1970's. she wrote A Summer to Die in 1977.
11: Number the Stars was awarded the Newbery Medal in 1990.
12: Lois was 28 when she lost her sister to cancer.
13: Before Lois started writing books, struggled for money but was able to pay rent and buy food.

15: Number The Stars There are two families one is Christian and the other one is Jewish. It is during World War II in 1943 and the Nazis are in Denmark.
16: The two ten year old girls of the families are best friends. Helen, who is Jewish, needs some place to stay because the Nazis are searching for Jews to take them to a camp.
17: Helen stays with Annemarie and her parents go with Peter some place safe. The Nazis soldiers search their house to look for them but couldn't find them.
18: The Nazis soldiers go to the Johansen apartment to look for them. the soldiers didn't find none of them. Annemarie parents decide to go to Annemarie's uncles house and stay there until it is over.
