FC: Cherokee Bill, (Crawford Goldsby) was one of the greatest outlaws of the 1890's.
1: Cherokee Bill started his life in crime when he killed his brother at the age of 12.
2: As a teenager, Bill took to petty thievery and fights with other teenagers.
3: His real outlaw life began when he thought he killed Jake Lewis in a fight. | He fled to an Indian reservation, to stay with the Cherokees.
4: He met up with Jim and Bill Cook, and traveled with them.
5: He shot lawman Sequoyah Houstan for trying to arrest Jim Cook.
6: Jim was eventually arrested. | So, Cherokee Bill rode home and hid from the law. | He was living with his sister, and brother in-law.
7: Later, he met up with Bill Cook again, and they rounded up a gang, terrorizing Oklahoma.
8: He was captured on Jan. 30, 1895 and found guilty for murder after months of robbing banks, and sparing no one that got in his way.
9: He was sentenced to death at the age of 20, and was hung.
