FC: Before there was Mike...
Before we had you as our fearless leader at the helms, we were a motley crew (not to be confused with the 80’s glam rock band) and we all lacked something in our lives. Take a walk with us down memory lane and take a glimpse into what we were before there was you.
Marin was somewhat happy, but lacked the ambition and the drive to really make something of herself.
Due to your leadership and positive influence, Marin now has a focus and is climbing her way up the MEA Labor Representative ladder.
Nichole was subjected to the incessant rants and negativity of Deb-, a non specific co-worker, with no ray of sunshine to brighten her dismal days.
You brought a fresh perspective and a new office lobby with one less work station.
Kelly found herself constantly bogged down with labor cases, a demanding ovulating schedule and a plethora of tampons and pads. There just wasn’t enough time and panty liners in a day!
Then you came along and inaugurated the great change in every woman’s middle aged life. Now Kelly is more active than ever and can now say goodbye to cramps and condoms forever!
After gallivanting in Costa Rica, Lora was back in San Diego, “working on her thesis” and spending way too much time in bars, hoping she could still pass for a 21 year old SDSU student.
You gave Lora another opportunity to get back into the world of steady paychecks, a 401k, health insurance and most importantly, routine papschmears.
Dawn had a happy marriage and two delightful children, but couldn’t help but feel like something was still missing...
You united her with her office soul mate and made her a more productive and far more tolerable member of this staff.
Before you were here, Nancy couldn’t pass a Krispy Kreme or Kentucky Fried Chicken without getting a box and bucket or two.
You taught her about fiber, counting calories and eating in moderation. Now Nancy is smokin’ hot and will never return to her former melancholy, muffin-topped life.
Brian used to have quite the reputation of being a playboy both in the office, and around town. There weren’t enough nights in the week to party and live it up (especially on college night at PB Bar and Grille).
You’ve shown him the value of embracing a yuppy, family-oriented life that doesn’t include cheap booze and women.
On most days, you couldn’t pull Gwen away from her work until well into the evening. She was always the first one here and the last to go home.
With your arrival, you showed Gwen the value of balancing one’s personal and professional life. While Gwen is still on top of her work, she now finds time to explore her talents and meet new friends.
Before you became MEA’s esteemed general manager, Cathleen was burdened with an overabundance of exquisite jewelry, handbags, clothing and perfume. She simply had no place to store yet another gift from Tiffany’s, let alone the newest Dooney and Burke.
Nowadays Cathleen is more appreciative of the intangible gifts in her life and has found a far better balance.
Thanks for guiding us, always having our backs and for keeping (most of) us around.
