FC: A Book of Our Beautiful Memories... | Sisters
1: A toast once heard: "To my big sister, who never found her second Easter egg until I'd found my first." -Robert Brault
2: Kimmie, I feel so lucky to have you as my big sister. You're laugh makes me laugh. Your smile makes me smile. And I don't know if anyone else thinks we are funny, but I think you're hilarious, smart, beautiful and the best sister I could ever ask for. Here are a few of our memories we have made so far, and I can't wait for all the memories we have to look forward to. I love you so much! Merry Christmas! Love, Katy | Christmas 2010
3: Take a moment to think back... Before Facebook Before the internet and text messaging. Before cell phones & iPods. When we rented VHS tapes, not DVDs. When Caller ID was a new thing. When we recorded stuff on VCRs & paid $3.50 for a movie. Think way back. Tag, Hide-n-Go Seek at dusk, Red Light, Green Light. Heads Up 7 Up. Playing Kickball & Dodgeball at school. Hopskotch, Skip-it, Slip-n-Slides. Four Square, Hula Hoops, Teddy Ruxpin Running through the sprinklers. Swimming on a hot summer night. Camping. Happy Meals where you chose a Barbie or a Hot Wheels. Getting the privilege to sit in the front seat of the car. Watching Saturday Morning Cartoons in your PJ's wrapped up in your comforter. Doug, Rugrats, Under the Umbrella Tree Or what about: The Secret Life of Alex Mac Double Dare, Wild & Crazy Kids, Adventures in Wonderland, Clarissa Explains it All, Are You Afraid of the Dark? Nick @ Nite with Bewitched, I Dream of Jeanie, The Facts of Life & I Love Lucy. Where everyone wanted to be in love after watching The Wonder Years. Wearing your new outfit on the first day of school. Class field trips. When $5 seemed like a million, & another dollar a miracle. When Toys R Us over ruled the mall. Go back to the time when: Decisions were made by going 'eeny-meeny-miney-mo' Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming 'do over!' Money issues were handled by whoever was banker in 'Monopoly'. It wasn't odd to have two or three 'best' friends. Being old referred to anyone over 20. Scrapes & bruises were kissed & made better. It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride the 'big people' rides at the fair. Back to a time when We made so many memories and had such a happy childhood.
