FC: Dr. Seuss
1: Dr. Seuss is really named Theodor Seuss Geisel. He was born on March 2, 1904.
2: His parents were very strict but very loving. Theodor liked to be called "Ted".
3: Ted grew up in Springfield Massachusetts. He delighted readers for more than 60 years.
4: He attended Darmouth College. He was considered to be a very mischievious.
5: He later confessed that oxford turned him down but his parents scraped enough money to send him anyway. | Ted claimed to have been awarded a fellowship to Oxford University.
6: His doodling caught the eye of a fellow American student named Helen Palmer. | Helen suggested that he should become an author instead of a professor.
7: He took her advice and eventually her hand in marriage as well. | Ted wanted to earn a living before he could think of a life with Helen.
8: Ted left Oxford intending to be a Professor. It would be the first of many turning points in his career. He published over 60 children's books.
9: Sadly Dr. Seuss passed away on September 24, 1991. Shortly before his death he was asked if there was anything left unsaid, he rethought the question and finally answered: The best words I can think of to leave with the U.S.A. would be: We can . . . and we’ve got to . . . do better than this.
10: FAMILY: where life begins and love never ends. | You're off to great places today is your day your mountain is waiting so get on your way. From here to there, and there to here funny things are everywhere.
11: I know it is wet and the sun is not sunny, but we can have lots of great fun that is funny. You know you're in love when you cant fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.
12: Don't cry because its over smile because it happened. Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
13: Were all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdnessand call it love, true love.

15: The Lorax It is a great book about how to keep the environment safe, clean, and pollution free.
16: This is a book about a snooty thing that refuses to try something new but in the end eats it and likes it.
