BC: Our Amazon trip was a scary roller coaster ride. An experience I won't soon forget! The End
FC: Amazon by: Marina Correa
I dedicate this book to Mrs. Ward because she helps me.
My trip to the Amazon began as a trip to Rio de Janiero. My entire class, teachers and chaperones went on the trip. First we flew to Trinidad. Then we headed to Rio de Janiero when we started having engine trouble.
We crashed in the top of the trees in the Amazon Rainforest. After the crash, all the students including myself, the teachers and chaperones climbed out of the plane. Everybody was okay except for cuts, bruises and scratches. We all rested for a few hours then we all strarted to feel thirsty and hungry.
We had to search for food and water. We found a river with fresh cold water. Then for food, we made tools to catch animals and to fish.
We fished and fished until we finally caught some fish. We were all so excited. We made a fire by rubbing some stones together. Then we cooked the fish over the fire.
We found a raspberry bush, and also bananas, coconuts, and papaya.
We were walking down the rainforest and we saw a jaguar and we froze. We were so scared, it was growling at us. Then we ran away from the jaguar as fast as we could.
After we ran away from the jaguar, we were deep in the rainforest. We started to hear monkeys making noises. They were swinging in the trees by their tails and eating bananas.
Here are the plants and animals we saw in the Amazon Rainforest.
A rescue team had been sent out to look for us with a helicopter. We were finally rescued. Then we went our home and saw our families.
We were very happy to go back to school and to be back at home. | Vogel Intermediate | My house in Spring, Texas
