S: Joshua Whyte's Journey
FC: My Journey Through The Early Childhood Education Program at Centennial College
1: One of my accomplishment that makes me feel the most proud in the program of ECE is my second semester. I never thought I would be able to attain a 3.06 GPA.
3: Even though I had great success in second semester I did struggle in both third and fourth semester. The challenges I faced in these semesters
4: has made me see things in a positive way. I now know that when there are obstacles that stand in the way of my success, I am able to fight through and get to where I want to be.
5: As I took the leap to go back to college and study Early Childhood Education I knew things would be different.I never thought I would actually enjoy learning about children's development but now my eyes have been opened to the importance of children receiving high quality child care. Now it is my job to continue learning, so I can be apart of the movement that can change the services in the field of ECE.
7: I think that I can be a positive role model to the young boys I will encounter within a child care setting or just everyday life to always go after their dreams or goals no matter what comes in their way. When I was talking to my family in Trinidad about what I was studying in college, They told me that if I would open up a child care centre there that it could be profitable for myself and for the families that would be in the centre.
