FC: Pathway Puppets | 2013
1: The Pathway Puppet Team spent the week of July 6-13, 2013 in Valley Mills, Tx. Valley Mills is a small town just east of Waco. 2: Bus rides are always fun with the Pathway Puppet Team!
3: We stopped for breakfast on the Kansas Turnpike! Lunch was at a small park in Oklahoma! Great shot Austin!
4: We arrived Friday evening! After dinner at Chik-Fil-A, we headed to Valley Mills, unloaded the trailers and settled into our home for the next week. The team was given the building that houses the gym, kitchen, student area and some classrooms. It is attached to the main church building by a breezeway. The girls slept in an adult classroom above the kitchen while the guys took over the student area that overlooked the gymnasium.
6: Saturday and Sunday were busy with setting up and preparing for VBS
7: The team was privileged to perform for the Valley Mills Baptist Church on Sunday morning! | Practice, Practice, Practice!! (oh and some volleyball!)
8: Monday and Tuesday! Here come the kids!!! The team was blessed to have over 150 children during the week of VBS. We also had over 50 helpers from Valley Mills partner with us to teach the children about the the heroes of the Bible and the love of Jesus Christ through games, crafts, stories, music and snack!
9: Monday afternoon, some members of the team and Skooter went to visit residents of the local senior citizens home.
10: Tuesday afternoon, the guys helped Tyler move into a new apartment. Then there was food, swimming and Mexican Ice Cream!!
13: Wednesday was another great day at VBS. After lunch we took a swim break at a church members home followed by homemade ice cream sundaes!!!
14: Thursday was a busy day for the team! VBS in the morning then an afternoon fieldtrip to the Dr Pepper Museum and Baylor University- Home of the Bears!!
17: As always, Friday came quickly. The team debuted their new skit- Joseph! That night the worship center was packed out for Family Night! Finally the time came to say goodbye and load the trailers.
18: Saturday morning found us heading home but first a stop at the Little Czech Bakery for breakfast!!
19: Here are a few fun memories of our time in Texas!
