FC: Spill | By Lexie Kline

Oliver the otter is a happy little otter who lives in the bright blue bay. He enjoys swimming and playing with his little otter friends. He has a best friend named Olivia. Oliver and Olivia love their home, the bay.

Oliver and Olivia did everything together. They played, and ate, and swam all day. Their favorite thing to do together is sing songs and have a good time. They were always together. Even when they slept they held hands so neither would get lost.

One day Oliver and Olivia were swimming around when a big ship came. Something about this ship was really fishy. There was a big boom and all the otters were really scared! Then as soon as you know it there was oil everywhere!

All the otters gathered to swim away from the oil. Their home was being destroyed! Things just kept getting worse. Then Oliver and Olivia got split up with the rest of their group. They were both very oily and scared. Then as soon as you know it humans came and snatched them up!

Oliver and Olivia were so frightened and dirty. They were taken to a very unfamiliar place by the humans that they didn't know anything about. Then they were taken to a big washtub where they were cleaned and taken care of. The humans were nice! And the otters were very happy.

After a couple weeks their home was nice and clean and the humans took them back for them to join their otter families and everyone was really happy!
