Thank you for choosing to review our portfolio. We respect and admire you for your courageous decision to consider adoption.
Paul and I are a young, active, Christian couple with an almost-two-year old daughter, Piper, who is the joy of our lives and a blessing of domestic adoption. Paul and I have been married for nearly eleven years. We met when we were in our twenties, after college, and it was a whirl-wind romance from the start. I was attracted to Paul’s intelligence, humor, and easy-going personality. Paul is a strong, principled person who is passionate about family and fiercely loyal to his friends. He is an amazing father. Paul would tell you that I’m a compassionate person who feels with my heart and responds to those feelings with action. I enjoy learning new things, meeting new people, and experiencing new places. We love being parents and consider family the biggest blessing in life.
Parenthood has been the greatest adventure of our lives. It has been exciting, exhausting, heart-warming, and humbling.
Paul and I credit the happiness, harmony, and stability in our marriage and our home to a shared faith, open communication, and mutual interests. Paul and I both rely on God as the leader of our lives and the foundation for our marriage. We believe that He brought us together, He brought Piper into our family, and that He has a plan for each of us. We attend church as a family each week, and Paul and I both participate in Bible study groups.
Paul and I have always known that we wanted to adopt children. Paul’s father is adopted and so is my brother, Michael, so it seemed very natural that we would continue in that tradition We are very close to both of our families and they are completely supportive of our decision to adopt another child. | We are very involved, hands-on parents. We enjoy playing, dancing, singing, coloring, reading, rocking, and swimming with Piper. We plan to raise all of our children in the church and ensure they grow up with the support of church community and knowledge of The Bible. We have strong values around education and so our kids will be encouraged to learn and explore the world around them from a very young age. Piper and her siblings will have an opportunity to pursue a college education and become whatever they dream of becoming. We also value individuality and creativity and we will raise our children to be independent thinkers and to express themselves freely.
We are blessed to live in a wonderful community. Our home is on a quiet cul-de-sac and we are friends with nearly all the neighbors on our street. There are many young children in our neighborhood and you can always find families out on a bike ride or perhaps taking a walk on a sunny afternoon.
We enjoy spending time with our extended family and we have always had special relationships with our siblings, as well as our nieces and nephews.
We are blessed to have amazing friends.
Paul and I also share a passion for social justice. We both volunteer our time and talents to support war-affected children in Sierra Leone, West Africa at the Child Rescue Centre and Mercy Hospital. We both feel strongly that these children should be given an opportunity to pursue education, health, and a strong future – and we dream about the possibilities for a tomorrow when these children become leaders in their country and lift it out of poverty and corruption.
Thank you for taking time to get to know a little about us. We wish you strength, peace, happiness, and good health in your journey. Warm wishes, Paul and Ginny
