2: Incidents sparks into something bigger than anyone could ever imagine... During the night of September 18 1931, Japanese-owned South Manchuria Railway was bombed. 4: Preceding the Marco Polo bridge incident, Battle of Shanghai occured when the Japanese proceeded for the invasion of Northern China. With the futile attempt of the Chinese resistance they were able to with hold Japanese movement towards eastern China. Although by November 1937, Shanghai fell into Japan's captivity. 7: On December 13, 1937, in an attempt to escape Japanese captivity, refugees tried to cross the Yangtze river. Although, because there's no any kind of transportation, the Japanese are able to arrive and catch the refugees on act, firing on them. 8: An estimated 80 000 women ranging from infants to the elderly were raped and killed during the capture of Nanking. Acts of incest and gang rape were committed.
