1: St. Patrick's Historical Society was incorporated in 2005 | Built 1819

4: A mass commemorating the 125th anniversary of St. Patrick's Chapel was celebrated in August 1934. | 1934

5: Catholic clergymen pass though the line formed by Cecil County Knights of Columbus members in the first public mass held at St. Patrick's since 1934. | 1972

6: The chapel was abandoned several times during its 188 year history.

7: However, this building refused to collapse; refused to die. It still stands, a witness to our past, and a potential refuge to future generations.

23: Why should St. Patrick's be saved? - It is the second oldest Catholic worship site in Cecil County - Built in 1819, the chapel is a testimonial to the impact of the Bill of Rights and the American Constitution | - It is one of the oldest public buildings in Cecil County - In 1978 the site was considered valuable enough by the state of Maryland to be placed on the register of the Maryland Historic Trust as a historic site

24: Priests distribute Communion outside the historic chapel to the overflow congregation.

26: During his homily, Bishop Malooly said the chapel provides a connection between the past and present, this world and the next. "Let us look back in gratitude to those believers who found God's presence here and, even more importantly, passed it on, " he said in his homily.

27: "Let us look ahead with a sense of appropriate pride that you have restored this holy place for now and for the future. It connects us so clearly with the heavenly kingdom, with those who are out front [in the cemetery], who are present with the Lord now." The Dialog, Sept. 23, 2010
