1: By: Samuel Worrell Period 5 History

2: CHILE, S. America | The Mediterranean climate is cooler and wetter than I'm used to. I'm glad I brought a jacket. | a | Souvenir from Santiago | The Chilean people are friendly and colorful. Their major religion is Roman Catholic.

3: On my tour of Chile, I enjoyed seeing the colossal Andes Mountains. God's work is obvious in this country. The Moai statues on Easter Island were pretty cool too. They were carved by the Polynesian colonizers of the island between 1250 and 1500. | Mmmm...Empenadas, my favorite!

4: United Kingdom is the most crowded country in Europe | UK is subject to very changeable weather. Extremes of temperature are rare but snow, hail, heavy rain and heatwaves can occur. | United Kingdom, Europe | York is a city with medieval splendor. York has fantastically preserved 13th-century walls and a Gothic edifice carved out of golden sandstone. York’s cathedral is surrounded cobblestone streets | English Channel

5: I enjoyed visiting the United Kingdom. These are guards that protect Buckingham Castle. They have funny hats! The main religion here is Christian. A popular food is fish & chips.

6: The people here are many different religions, but mainly Orthodox Christian. The climate is mostly sub-arctic, which means it is cold there. | We canoed down the Danube river in Russia. The Water was freezing!!! | Russia, Russia & the Republics

7: Moscow We went to the capital city, Moscow. Red square was really crowded. We ate Shish kebobs for lunch. They were really good! | Souvenier | These are Matryoshka dolls. They go inside each other.

8: Saudi Arabia, South West Asia | When we went to Saudi Arabia, we saw the mosque, the market & Riyadh, the captial. The climate is desert and we saw the extensive Kharaj Desert.

9: te | One special food we ate was called martabak. It was like a meat pancake. I got a cool magnet in the kid's meal. The people are mostly Islam.

10: India, South Asia | In India, the major religion is Hindu. The climate is desert. One place to visit is the Taj Mahal. It is a palace built by the Mungals. One food you can get there is called Dhal, which is curried lentils.

11: The people were exited to see new people in their homes. They showed us a volcano at Mt. Rinjani that erupts every so often. I was surprised at first, but they told me it only erupts in lava flows.

12: There are many diverse climates here. The religion is mostly Buddism. A popular food is jellyfish. It tastes just how it looks! GROSS!!!!! | China, East Asia

13: Mountain Zhang was amazing! The fog surrounding it looked ominous. We went to the great wall of China! I thought we'd never reach the end! | Chairman Mao Watch oh yeah, everyone's getting one of these for Christmas!!

14: This was my favorite country to visit. We went diving in Nossi Bé, river-rafting and kayaking on the Mangoky River, and a Jeep Tour where we saw tons of wildlife including lemurs!!! | Madasgar, Africa | The religions of Madasgar are Animist & Christian. The Animists believe that their dead ancestors take part in their everyday lives. The climate there is sub-tropical, so I'm very glad that I brought bug spray and light clothing.

15: We saw a special landform called Tsingy de Bemaraha. Tsingy means, "where one cannot walk barefoot". They are made of limestone. | Ravitoto - meat and leaves cooked together
