1: The British in the 1800's felt defeated after the Revolutionary War. They needed more efficiency and wanted to be able to do things faster in their work to help pay off war debts. | Through Their Eyes
2: People wanted to build and do things faster and it drove them to think innovatively. With these innovative thoughts they invented things that could improve their lives. Thoughts like this drove to the Industrial revolution and the invention of the Spinning Jenny
3: People in the 1800's needed to have the knowledge of being open and thinking out side of the box. Also, they needed to have the values of honesty and trustworthiness. Some skills people need were mechanical,and technical skills to help build there innovative inventions.
4: The invention of the Spinning Jenny effected a lot of the way people viewed things. Workers viewed the Spinning Jenny as a bad thing that took away their pay. | On the other hand her people like business folk viewed the spinning Jenny as an economical advantage in the not so well economy. 5: His family and other's who wanted to make work easier for themselves supported this invention because they don't want to do everything by hand, and it would be more efficient. | This amazing invention was caused by James Hargreaves's daughter, Jenny. She accidentally knocked over the family's spinning wheel, but then found the wheels continued spinning, so he continued to investigate it and slowly transformed the old spinning wheel to a new invention, the spinning jenny. | Cause and Effect
6: Even though many supported this invention, there's still some who don't. Such as the workers who does this for their living and are afraid to lose their jobs after the invention of spinning jenny. | There were many effects on the spinning jenny. It made work more efficient and faster now that every thing doesn't need to be done by hand, but on the other side, people may lose their jobs because they don't need that many people anymore.
7: The spinning jenny transformed the people's life dramatically, so now everyone can have a machine in their home to do the hard and difficult work. It changed the community too, now that they can produce goods and products faster. It also changed the world by expanding the variety of the products because of the faster and easier use of the machine. This way people can try to experience more with it at a cheaper price. | Turning Points
8: The spinning jenny effected the future choices in the U.S. It made people opened to new ideas and now they can improve on the invention and make it better and even more efficient. Also the more the product is being made, the cheaper it'll be when it gets around.
9: The Spinning Jenny has changed a lot since it was invented. Now a days thread is spun all buy machines. There is barely anything done buy hand and it is way quicker than the Spinning Jenny. | Change in the community
10: The way that the Spinning Jenny has remained the same is through the basic design. There are still spinning and spools involved with the thread making process.
11: People who have benefited from the Spinning Jenny since it was invented were the business men. The business men could get quantity and quality at the same time, increasing their income.
12: People who have not benefited from the invention of the spinning jenny were workers in the 1800's. The spinning jenny took the jobs of many people for it made it that not so many workers were needed.
13: The spinning jenny is similar to now a day spinning mill. The way they are similar is that they are practically the same thing. The only difference is that the spinning mill is all mechanically done and the spinning jenny is powered buy hand. | Using the Past
14: The Spinning jenny is different to the cotton mill in the fact that the cotton mill is more advanced and you don't need that many workers to operate it unlike the Spinning jenny.
15: The Spinning jenny tells us about the history of the 1800's in many ways. First it tells that the 1800's were a very innovative time filled with invention. It also tells that people were very motivated and hard working. All in all the times around the 1800's were very important in history.
