2: Egypt | Cairo | Capital: Cairo Official Language: Arabic Government: Semi- presidential republic; President - Hosni Mubarak Prime Minister - Ahmed Nazif | Population: 76 million Independence from United Kingdom: February 28th,1922 Republic declared: June 18th, 1953 Currency: Egyptian Pound Good News? Voted one of the best places to tour and visit. Stable government, and incredible buildings and attractions in every city. Bad News? In 1997, the public education system was suffering and still isn't at it's best. Tension rising between Israel and Egypt. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) has affected Egypt, and will continue because no vaccine to prevent it.
