One day a little boy named Gavin mends was walking down the street window shopping. He didn't have a brother or sister; he only lived with his mom. They didn't have much money but they manage to survive.

But one day Gavin and his mom were walking down the street when they looked down and saw something green on the sidewalk.

Gavin picked it up and gave it to his mom, it was just their luck. It was just a piece of paper. Gavin's mom got mad and screamed.

The next day Gavin went to town he walked into his mom favorite store. He walked up to the candle section and looked behind him and made sure no one was watching and shoved a candle in his pocket.

After he walked out the store he ran, he ran until he couldn't run no more. When Gavin went back to school he told his friends what he stole. His friends thought he was so cool, but after Gavin thought about all the stuff he could steal, for the next week he stole watches, food and toys.

But the next day Gavin walked into a store and saw a police officer. Gavin walked to the back of the store and picked up a book that had a cool picture on the front.

He stuffed in the coat he was wearing and walked past the police officer. The next thing Gavin knew was that the book fell out of his coat!

Then the police officer picked up the book grabbed Gavin by the arm and took him to jail. Then Gavin's mom flew in the door and asked the police officer what happened.

The police officer explained what happened and let Gavin go. When Gavin and his mom got outside she told him stealing don't get you nowhere in life. Then they hugged and walked home laughing and singing all the way.
